Who shops Winn-Dixie these days? I was just curious. Down here in Florida, they have free food coupons when you buy $25 worth of stuff. Usually 3 coupons (this week were bread, chili, and pork sausage). They also do some B1G1F sometimes that appeal to me.

Lately those "free" item coupons and a combination of my store having a**'s for mgr. have eliminated me wasting my time shopping at their store. They won't even take coupons that are totally legit. At least 99% of the time at my store the turn down my coupons- so why waste your time. They have a bunch of dummies for mgrs. that can't even read a coupon and actually understand what it is off on so unless I feel like wasting an hour of my time on a small order with coupons then I fore go shopping at Winn Dixie. I recently had the $2 off any seafood.....well I guess frozen shrimp that is was $3.99 is not seafood....I was told that seafood had to come from the seafood dept. And the shrimp I had was the Thrifty maid brand and was well over the $2 coupon I had but that wasn't good enough. I was told the reason the fosters beer coupons wouldn't scan was because my shrimp wasn't from the seafood dept. it came from the frozen area of the store and then told well the coupons would scan if I got shrimp in the seafood dept. Those coupons never scan and "any seafood product over $2" is what the coupon said it listed nothing about being fresh or frozen-which the so called fresh shrimp in the seafood dept. is frozen also. I bet my store closes it's doors soon.

I go where the deals are! I HATE Winn Dixie ~ dirty, overpriced & poorly stocked ~ but... I go where the deals are! I went to Winn Dixie after reading the Wisp catalina deal is back on. They had 3 Wisp units at $3.99 ($4 coupon ) and then each prints a $3 catalina! The refills are regularly $3.49 and marked to $1.74 ~ so I used the BOGO figuring I'll pay $1.74/2 and get $2 and $2 in catalinas. Well the coupon automatically scanned $3.49 so I made a penny overage on every 2 and got $4 in catalinas! (it did this because their register rings full price then the line underneath minuses off the amount of discount on the item ~ so the coupon picked up the full price of the item) I did 2 orders: OOP ~ $2.06 Got: 2 boxes Little Debbie Snacks 11 Wisp refills 3 Wisp units 5 Gatorade 32 oz 1 celery 1 laundry soap 1/2 gallon lactose-free milk 3 House-Autry coating mixes $30 in catalinas in my purse! If they are going to pay me to shop there ~ I will! I am usually able to get a $25 order without actual OOP (AF trials, House-Autry coating mix, & other free coupons)

When we have bogo they will only take 1 coupon and if it's over the amount they won't except it at all. They didn't used to be such PITA about coupons but they are now..I used to do killer deals there but something happened and they stopped wanting to take any coupons unless you just force them too and I'm not always in the mood to have a fight over a coupon when I can't win and they have some stupid rule that continues to change as you argue over them accepting the coupon. You would never get away with the deal you did at my Winn Dixie even though it's legit they wouldn't allow it.

There are Winn-Dixie's in my college town and in my grandma's town. I have also been in one while on vacation in Florida. (bought a rotten watermelon in the middle of summer---go figure) -- I don't go into them due to (pre-couponing) conclusion that they are dirty-stinky-overpriced-and sell rotton produce. There are just better options out there.

There are 2 Winn Dixie's in my area and 2 more in the next town. I only shop at the 2 nearest for the REALLY good deals that I might not be able to price match at Walmart. And when I occasionally go the the next town I stop at the ones there looking for winetags.
