Lee called me today and he is in the hospital. I am very upset about this because aside from my kids and grandkids he is one of only 3 members left in my mother's entire family! He is only 46 years old and apparently got to the doctor just in time, he almost had a heart attack. His father died of a heart attack at age 49 and his mother died in her thirties of brain cancer (they were my grandparents). He and i were just talking about this on the phone Sunday night when he called me for Mother's Day. He had asked me again to try to quit smoking. Then today he called from the hospital.

I am ready to make my first ever serious attempt to quit smoking. I am experiencing a lot of health problems myself and I know that smoking is the cause of a few of those troubles. I am asking that ya'll pray for he and I....pray he recovers from this incident, as I love him so much and cannot bear the thought of him leaving me (we grew up together as brother and sister) and please pray that I can kick these cigarettes. I am 43 years old and have been smoking since I was 13!

My family is the same way!!! My little brother was an uncle twice before he was even born!

My step-sisters dad was also her step uncle (her biological parents divorced and then married brother and sister ~ so then her dad was then married to her step-dads sister). I remember writing an essay in HS "My Life Is A Soap Opera"
