How to print REBATE RECEIPTS at Walgreens How to print REBATE RECEIPTS at Walgreens Sometimes Walgreens has an item for sale that qualifies for BOTH a Walgreens EasySaver book rebate/offer AND a manufacturer's rebate/offer. For example: Last month (July2006), Herbal Essence was FAR via the Walgreens EasySaver book. And there are manufacturer TMF MIR forms available. Another example: a few months ago, ALL Small & Mighty qualified toward a Walgreens GC AND there were mfr TMF forms circulating. How do you take advantage of BOTH offers when you only have ONE CRT? And neither place will take a photocopy? You ask the cashier to print a rebate receipt. Unfortunately, just asking doesn't help you -- most cashiers don't know how to print a rebate receipt. Most managers don't either. Many think it can't be done. Below are step-by-step directions showing you HOW to print a rebate receipt. Hopefully, typed simple enough that you can teach your cashiers. (Credit given to Angelairaon another board who specifically gave me permission to repost this here ![]() 1. Walgreens has two keypads on the register: main one and a smaller one to the left of the main one The middle button on bottom row of smaller left keypad is "Special Receipt" button 2. Tell the cashier to push the Special Receipt button first 3. Scan the item that you want the rebate receipt for. 4. It will ask what kind of special receipt: the option you need is number 3. 5. The cashier should press 3 on the regular numeric keypad 6. IF you have more than one item in your transaction worthy of a doubleplay, then REPEAT steps #2-#5 for each item you want a rebate receipt for. 7. Finish the transaction 8. Make sure cashier hands you both/all receipts. USE the WALGREENS REGULAR RECEIPT for the Walgreens EasySaver rebate USE the REBATE RECEIPT for any MANUFACTURER's MIR forms.

Can I get the whole thing? Hey, this is wonderful! However, it would be great if I could get the cashier to print out a whole rebate receipt that includes everything I bought at Walgreens that day. This way, I wouldn't have to go make a copy when turning in my Walgreens rebates. Do you have any idea how I would tell the cashier to do this? I wouldn't want to make her do it for every little item--- I don't think that would save any time. But you would think they could print out a duplicate receipt for me just by pressing a button or two. Thanks! -Lisa ![]()

your success will vary with this info. Some cashiers/mgers will learn and be glad to know others will refuse to ever try and argue with you. I wanted one a few days ago and the cashier said the button does not say that, (why not try??) then I ask for the mger, forgetting this is the one mean one in my town! she says I cannot print a copy, I tell her I want a rebate reciept not a copy she won't budge (didn't even go near register) she told me she could do the diary thing, (those don't work) I told her others had done it at that store and I was asked who, when I replied she said well he doesn't work at this store anymore. What does that have to do with it?? So I ended up having to do 4 seperate transactions. I was trying to save them work!! Wendy

Rebate/Special Reciept I personally work for walgreens as a manager and to my knowledge all of the registers are set up for special reciepts. Whomever, this supposed district manager was probably hasn't worked for the company for a long time (as I've worked there for 5 years working the ranks and the turn over is extremely high) or they never worked the registers (which doesn't surprise me because they like to promote friends and relatives there not quality). The reason for the special reciept key is exactly for the rebate purposes and also for gift returns, thus they are on all of the registers. However, this being said...not all registers are set up the same. In my store alone there are two different style keyboards and on top of that not all are labeled (some have lost the labels and if they're new they might not have been labeled yet). Your best bet is to get to know your local walgreens/cvs/retailer staff, because the more they know you as a "good" customer the more they are willing to train their staff, label the keys, and finding out how to do the special reciept for you. We actually have a store net site to help us which helps us troubleshoot. P.S. The special reciept key is usually red as thats the sticker they like to print it on for us. P.S.S. Please remember everyone has bad days and that we all can gain more with a smile, kindness and patience...to sneer at the manager/cashier and tell them to look up the instructions on how to do it will cause everyone disappointment because 9 times out of ten they won't. ![]()

Okay, so I'm new to this "couponing" and "refunding" business... haha Last week at Walgreens I purchased 3 items that qualify for different rebates on the same receipt. I wasn't even thinking! So yesterday, I went back and asked the manager if he could print me 2 additional receipts because I needed them for rebates. He comes back out with 2 COPIES of the receipt on regular paper. I just took them and left; I wasn't sure what to say. So now what do I do? I still need the "original receipts" for the rebates. Is there any way for them to print additional PAST receipts? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much!!!
