| Weird tax mystery... So I went to Walgreens last week with 10 $3/1 Venus razor coupons. I brought 10 razors up to the counter, the cashier scanned them individually and then scanned my coupons individually, I ended up paying about $2.5X for tax on the $30 order. This morning I went to the same Walgreens and the cashier handled the transaction the same way but this time there was NO tax and I walked out without giving them a penny. ![]() |

| this is a mystery that is happening at all WG across the nation.... I bought bandaids $1 per box and I had $1/1 coupons -- bought 12, paid $0 -- cashier tried to convince me that health related products don't get taxed....hmmm, so why did I pay tax on Sudafed?? I bought gum this week -- BOGO WG price, had BOGO coupons -- paid $0 for my 4 packs of gum. Last week, similar deal, paid about 0.01 a pack in tax. Not complaining... but thinking that WG is going to realize the computer problem before too long. |
