Ok so I just went to the bathroom and a co-worker was talking on her cell phone while doing her business. She then proceeded to hang up and make another call.

Soooo.... do you talk on your cell phone in the bathroom..

A: I will answer if it rings, but will not make a call
B: If I am already talking and need to go, I will continue to the convo in the bathroom
C: I would never do this in public, but at home is fair game
D: I would never do this.
E: If I am waiting on DS/DD to go, I will talk on the phone.... however will not if I am the one going.

I guess I would say E, but I would also make it quite clear to the person that I was talking to that *I* wasn't the one using the facilities, so to speak.

I am weird about bathroom stuff, though. If I am walking with another woman into the bathroom, I would strongly prefer that we pause the conversation while we each enter our cubicles. I would like to complete my business while pretending that there isn't another person just inches away from me thinking "Man, she must have had beans last night." or "Wow, drink much?".

It makes me crazy when someone continues the conversation (or worse, STRIKES ONE UP) while we're both peeing.

I am always floored when I am in a public bathroom and someone is on the phone while on the toilet! I usually flush a few extra times, just to make it noisy for them!

Fair game...I admit it, but only with my mom!

Not sure how to answer the poll I am guilty of calling hubby, DD, DILs, adnil and close friends while in the bathroom at home. I don't have a lot of spare time and to me it's multitasking But, I don't think I am coordinated enough to handle my cell phone, my purse and "my business" in a public toilet without a mishap Well, I guess my answer can be the third choice

ok now that I got some response...I will finish my story..

So I actually went into the bathroom cause I REALLY had to pee. Go into my stall, and realize she is on the phone. I find this a bit odd, and immediately my bladder goes into stage fright mode and I couldnt pee. So I came back to my desk somewhat frustrated and yet amused to ask you ladies what you would do...

Now why this lady talking on her cell made my bladder go into stage fright mode... I havent a clue....

only if no one else is in the restroom.I guess in a way that's the same as only if at home,but I do talk in public restrooms

Well I am sad to say this, but I worked with my best friend and well we never went to the bathroom alone and on several occasions she would answer calls. I usually didn't take my phone in at work. Anyhow if I am on the phone and I have to go I will continue, but only with certain people that I am talking to.

I just can't bring myself to do this at home or in public.

It cracks me up when I am on the phone with someone and I hear the toilet flush A few months ago my uncle called me from CA, we are chatting away and I knew there was a strange echo in the background, ya know like a bathroom echo, anyway we are discussing our kids and stuff like that and all of a sudden I hear the toilet flush! I was like "you were so taking a dump while you were talking to me" and he was like "so, what else are you supposed to do while you are in the bathroom?" I guess nothing shocks me much though.

people always seem to call me when i REALLY have to go. So if it is DH or MIL or Mom i don't even care, but if it is someone else i don't flush till after the phone call is over ( so they can't hear the flush sound)
