I'm looking at the online version of the circular and it says "Check out this Wednesday's Providence Journal for Wacky special savings". I didn't notice this on the flyer I got in the mail but maybe I missed it. Does anyone know what this is referring to and if it meant yesterday or next Wed?

OK, I got my answer. Someone brought in a paper to work and I took a peek. There is a full page ad for special savings today only. This might be just for RI stores. From memory (I thought about taking the page back to my desk but didn't feel right doing that)

Ground beef 75% lean 1.28/lb
Potatos 5 lb bag 1.88
Pastene canned tomatos 88 cents
Shaws butter 1 lb 1.88
Honey nut Cherios 1.88

There were a few other things. I'll have to go look again and edit this.

How could I forget the bananas? 38 cents per lb. My 2 yo eats these like candy.

I hope this is happening in Maine...I am on my way to check it out!
