So after two hours of shopping the sales and matching up brands with my online coupons, i go to the check out to learn that my safeway does not double coupons AND it does not accept online coupons. I left the store with a $94 bill, two hours of wasted time shopping, at least two hours of internet time this week getting the coupons, and a ton of regret. I should have told them i wasn't paying for the groceries, but i didn't, i just paid and walked away. Im so disapointed.

yeah and get this, the only meat i bought was an 'almost expired' thing of stew meat, and a 2 lb half a ham. >.<

EDIT: oh yeah and i forgot to say, the register accepted the first one, but a supervisor lady walked by, saw them, and asked if they were printed and said yes, so she wouldn't let me use any more >.<

I didn't even buy diapers >.<

Where is this Safeway store at? all our store ads have the double up to 4 coupons in it and I'm going to use one today along with a load of Internet printable coupons too for a few free things. Do you have that coupon in your store ad? they should take it if you do. I use that same coupon at Albertson's too and they always take it and give me $2.00 off on my receipt. So sorry you did all that work for 2 hours and ended up spending so much. I'm planning on using the $10.00 off coupon too when you buy $50.00 worth of groceries.

My safeway didn't have either of the two coupons your talking about. I live in New Mexico. I really hate it here too, and thats just another reason to =p xD

My Safeway here does not double either- not all do.

My Safeway does not double and they only allow (1) IP per transaction.

My Safeway (Randalls) used to not let me use IPs, until I told the manager that you can print them right off their corporate website!

I've never had any trouble with internet coupons except the planters one that beeps so they won't take it. As long as they scan they should be fine. I don't buy anything that they won't take my coupon for. I take it right out of my bag and have the cashier ring up the return. I'd take everything back and tell the manager why and make them give you a refund if they won't take your coupons.

My Safeway's have never doubled, too bad. But they do take internet printed coupons, I wonder if somewhere online it states they will take them??

My Safeway (Dominicks) does not take IPs or double. So, I don't shop there when the grocery store across the street takes them. No stores around me double.

No double coupons around here at any grocery stores, including Safeway. I haven't tried using IPs.

My Smiths doesn't double either, only our Scolari's doubles and they're highpriced so I only go when there is a fantastic sale and coupon match. Good luck!!
