I forwarded it to my brother in Arizona, and told him he should print out some internet coupons, and told him to go get some free and nearly-free stuff for his family!!

To follow on my note above, apparently my slacker (younger) brother actually printed the coupons for General Mills, Betty Crocker, and Pillsbury. He took them to Safeway, and they griped at him about not taking internet coupons. So he griped at me.

Well, I just messaged my brother again, and told him that all (err, most of) the items that are included in this sale are going to be in this week's coupon booklets! I told him he should cut them out of the paper this weekend, go to the store and seek out that same cashier, and do the line from "Pretty Woman": "You were the one who wouldn't wait on me a couple days ago, right? And you work on commission, right? Big mistake! HUGE!"

But seriously, could they have made this any easier for the kid?

This is a great deal! I got 10 of the frostings. Had 50/1 coupons for them all! They were on sale for $1.50 each. Paid $5 for all 10 and then got $10 off the bill! $5 profit!!

My wife would recommend you try the "Warm Delights" as well. Same price as the frosting you bought, also a $.50/1 coupon for them. Same profit. And she really likes the chocolate brownie thing.

How did you get $5 overage??? Does your store double all your coupons??? My Tom Thumb will only double/triple 1 like coupon the rest at face value. So the best I can do is $1 overage which is still good to me!!!!

yes, our safeway doubles up to 50 cents - unlimited.

And not that any of you really care much about my brother (story above), but he told me he went in to Safeway at lunch today and bought $43 worth of stuff, and it cost him $4.50. He was pretty psyched, and thinks I'm a genius (of course he always thought that, but what the heck).

There is a limit at my Genaurdi's for this deal of 2 instances. There is also a Suave Deal at my genarudi's for an instant $3 off of 4. I'm sure there is some way that can be made into a deal - but haven't had the time to figure it out yet. This one is limited to 1 instance.

I know how it feels, I have a little brother that lives in Austin and I'm constantly calling him and sending him to do one deal or another!!! I hate when he has problems with coupons and "they" (the cashier's) give him a hard time cuz it discourges him!!! KWIM?????? But he gets really psyced when he hits a home run like your brother did!!!! LOL!!!!
