North Dakota

Born and raised here in ND. I know there are at least 2 other NoDaks here (Hi Andie and Dana!) Just have Target, Kmart, Walmart and CVS here! If I could just figure out the local grocery stores and their sales, I could plan better like the bigger, nation wide chains.

Also born and raised in ND. Completely agree with michele767 on the grocery stores.

A North Dakotan all the way. I was born in the huge metropolis of Columbus, OH. My family moved here when I was 5 via the Air Force. Love it here. Safest state in the nation. Highest quality education in the nation. Cleanest air in the nation. Friendliest, most kind and caring people in the nation. So many more terrific things about living here but not enough room to name them all. LOL

Born and raised in ND! We live in a small town and have to drive 90 miles to get to Target/Walmart etc but I am hoping to learn how to make those trips more worth it and hopefully save some money!

My best friend lives in Mandan, outside of Bismarck. While he isn't nearly as far away from big stores as you are, it's still not around the corner.

Do you guys buy groceries at Dan's?? I always shopped at Dan's and got pretty good values there....

I would move back to ND in a heartbeat!! I love the Badlands--they're gorgeous and the of course, the folks are the best!!!!

Dan's is too far from me right now but my parents shopped there when I was still at home and I think they still do.

Just moved to ND from Alaska and am loving everything but the long drive to get to a grocery store. I have never even stepped foot into a CVS or a WAGS before and am excited to get there.

Brand new resident of McClusky "The heart of North Dakota" at least that is what the sign says. Where abouts are you?

There's another girl on AFC who lives close to McClusky. She's not put her "" into the roll call though. There's also at least 3 of us on AFC from Minot and someone else near Harvey. More and more people from ND. YAY!!!

Thats really cool, glad to know. We have only been here since the middle of June. This is such a HUGE change for all of us. I was born and raised in Alaska as were all my kids, hubby moved up there when he was 12.
We are planning a trip to Minot in the next couple weeks and cant wait to see it. I fell asleep just before going through it when we drove down. 2700 miles in a vehicle with 5 kids, I was exhausted by the time we crossed the boarder. Not to mention the engine blowing up in the van just outside of Beaver Creek. Hope to hear more ND s.

I'm in Forman, in the southeast corner of the state, about 250 miles from you. That sounds like quite a trip you had! I hope you and your family love ND!
