Gone Weds Double Coupon Day Roll Call

I think it would be fun to see how everyone is doing with double coupon Weds. at Rainbow. When I'm in the Coon Rapids store I'm always on the look out for other coupon buddies. Does anyone else shop there?

This week I got in two separate transactions (trip #1 before coupons $25.68 and trip #2 was $28.70)

18 - Kraft Mac n Cheese
2 - Crystal Light (used 2 free coupons for buy 3 Kraft)
1 - Family size Wheat Thins (used 1 free coupon for buy 3 Kraft)
4 - Jergens Lotion (clearance for $1.89 used $1.00 coupons doubled to $2.00)
5 - Lubriderm Lotion (clearance for $1.69 used $0.75 coupons double to $1.50)
1 - Blue Bunny Fudge pops $2.09 regular price (used printable BB coupon for $1.00 double to $2.00)
3 - Kraft Dressing (used 3 free coupons for buy 3 Kraft)
2 - Healthful Cat Food bags (used 2 free coupons from a few inserts back)
2 - Heads of Lettuce (on sale this week for $0.74)
a couple lbs of grapes (on sale this week for $0.99 a lb

I probably forgot something but my total out of pocket for both transactions was about $8.00. FYI: I got the Free coupon for buy 3 Kraft on a display at Cub Foods on Northdale. The display is at the back of the store with the cans of spray cheese. I haven't seen them anywhere else. There were several pads sitting out there...not sure if there are any left.

What did you get this week?

Wow...you have been busy! I haven't taken advantage of Rainbow's doubles yet. They seem like they have a couple decent deals next week. I keep looking for these famous Kraft coupons, but never seem to find them.

I shop at Pick n Save - which I believe is owned by the same company as Rainbow - This week for doubles - Regina Cooking Wine 1.99 (regular price) online printable coupon for $1 means they owe you .01. Also received a printed catalina for Hamburger Helper - buy 3,4 or 5, get $ off next purchase of hamburger, chicken or tuna.

Just a question for the one who got the yogurt free. Did you spend $25 and just got the yogurt free along with paying for other things or did you only buy 2 yogurt? The reason I ask is before they stopped doing doubles last year I had heard talk that you didn't need to spend $25 to get the doubles. Thanks

yes I did spend $25, and that is before coupons.
I buy some items from their ad that are a good sale price, then figure out 5 coupons that will give free/ nearly free items

I did the deal of 10/$20. I actually got 11 Curves granola bars (I just LOVE the chocolate/peanut ones!), one gallon of skim milk and 2 pounds of bananas for a little over $15.00 - and I got 2 free tickets to Batman! To me, this is like better than free because movie tickets cost more than what I paid out of pocket.

I'm doing a happy dance!

I used 3 $1.00/2 coupons that I scored from a blinkie at Cubs. It looks like it is only for cereal - but you can use it on ANY Curves or Fiber One item. So I saved those for this deal and I don't need granola bars for 2-3 months now (I eat one a day!). I also used 2 75 cents off coupons I got off the Internet and 3 50 cents off that I got from the paper. I doubled the $1.00 and 75 cent ones - so saved $10.50 with coupons...

I don't think you do need to spend $25 anymore to get them doubled. I stopped in yesterday - picked up a few things (@ Eden Prairie store - They are remodeling - so they have a lot of items on clearance - wish they would have had more of those Lubriderms that magnumethw bought!). ANYWAY one of the items I bought that was on clearance (Reach Toothbrush) - but they charged me full price - so I went back last night (the service desk was then closed - so there was NO ONE to help me - grr). Since I was there - I picked up three things - Muir Glen tomato paste (clearance), Curves granola bars & a .25 Laffy Taffy. My total - after coupons was $1.19 - I had a $1 coupon for the Muir Glen & a .75 for the Curves . I didn't get my receipt - but without coubling the Curves one - it would have been $1.25 alone.

Weds. 7/23

Todays Double Coupon Haul: I did three trips with a total oop of $4.36

45 - Blue Bunny Personal Ice Creams ( $0.89 each...used the $1.00 Blue Bunny Coupon Blue Bunny Ice Cream Coupons and they went right through with a $0.11 overage on each)
2 - Yo + yogurts (I had a rain check from last week that made them $2.00 then I had $1.00 coupons that I doubled)
8 - Glade candles (on sale for $2.00 each....used $1.00 coupons from last weeks insert and doubled them)
6 - Clean team wipes ($1.49 each...used $3.00 coupons from last weeks insert)
2 - snickers bars
1 - skittles (my 19 year old daughter is home from college and she whined until I bought her some treats...)

I will be returning a few more times over the next couple of days to get more ice creams. They are an excellent deal with the $0.11 overage. Thank goodness for the chest freezer. My son is excited to hear me suggest that he eats more ice cream and popscicles.

How did you do?

I some times shop in Coon Rapids but mostly at the one by Northtown. I didn't shop yesterday I couldn't find anything that looked good. Have you ever had this happen with doubles? Last week I bought something that the reg price was only $1.29 and it was on sale for $1 and I had a $1 off coupon to double and it only doubled .29 so no overage only up to reg price. I did't know it would do that I thought you could get overage will you can I got .29 because of the sale price not not the rest of the $1.

Thanks, I was wondering if the coupon would double if it is over the price of the item! Now I know. I am going to add that to the sticky on top!
