School programs

Ok, here's the first one - even if you don't have a kid in a school doing these programs, you can save Box Tops for Education (aka BTFEs) (General Mills products), Campbell's Labels for Education, and Tyson Project A+ labels for either donation or trading.

Another note on BTFEs - if you scrapbook, you can pay for half your order of diecuts with BTFEs (.10 each) at this site:

http://www.dime-a-diecut.com/

I've ordered from them before & have been very happy with their products!

I'm so glad this thread was added - I am so clueless when it comes to this sort of thing. So.... I thought most rebates these days you had to have a receipt for? So why would saving just UPCs do any good? I have not done a rebate yet (besides the automated online ones) - Someone please clue me in! LOL

CRT's are also traded for those people that lose their receipt after buying the product.

Wow great thread!!!I have also been saving Lipton tea upcs,Edwards pie upcs,Totino's pizza roll and toaster pastry upcs(they have in the past had free CDrom games with upcs and small s/h fee). I will go through mine and post them in the next couple days, if others will do the same maybe we can make trades and come out with some nice deals. And I saved my receipts, surely it wouldn't matter if you lived in MN and got a receipt from Alabama or Florida to use in conjunction with like a $10 Pepsi rebate. And is their anyone who can use expired coupons..like the Chinet 992 that you get a free 2 litter Pepsi I found a stack of these Friday and they had expired 12/31/04. I have no place to use expireds.. but they(stores) would still be able to get their money back if they would let us use them like up to a least a month out of date.. They have like 6 months to send them in..but if anyone is interested they are 992's valued at $1 I think..it's the free 2 litter Pepsi.
Thanks Lah123

I'd love to know why to save some of these things!

Here's another - Trix & Yumsters (kids) yougurt. Yumsters always has something going on - Wiggles tape, Thomas cars, currently Calliou books. Trix doesn't do things as often, usually 64 ct. boxes of crayons in the fall. I've sent in Trix UPCs for Yumsters promos, but YMMV. Forms are pretty easy to trade for & you can usually get the UPCs in trade also. No rct. req., but there usually is a small handling fee.

Cereal - I save all of them since every once in a while someone puts out some deal that you can use any Kellogg's or any GM, or certain ones from a list. The last good one I can think of was the Froot Loops sidewalk chalk. The nice thing about most of the cereals is that they say brand & size right with the UPC!

Baby food labels

If you have a baby in the house, be sure to save the labels. Beech Nut has a program where you send in labels for coupons, one of the natural ones (sorry, can't remember the name) has a savings bond program, Gerber has a coupon program if you send in labels - might only be for Gerber Graduates right now, but you never know...I read somewhere that DelMonte was doing something, but I can't remember what. The only problem with these programs is that by the time you save enough of the labels (at least for me since I wasn't brand loyal & the neither of the boys ate it for long!), your kids aren't eating the stuff anymore! But, you can always trade them or send them in for a friend with a smaller baby...

Just a side note - formula points (can't remember brand) aren't currently worth anything - no promos & haven't been any for several years, but the points are still on the UPC - I emailed the company about it a while ago & they said nothing was planned, so it was up to me if I saved them or not. I have an envie of them "just in case", but there's nothing going on now with them. Same thing for diapers, none of the companies are currently doing any promos for any points there might be on the packages (at least that I know of). Most of the packages don't even have any points on them anymore, but you might get an old package that has some & wonder, so that's what I know about points on diapers....Now on that same note, there have been some short lived cash + offers from diaper companies, but they've all wanted reciepts. If you save reciepts for events like this, you might want to stash a few UPCs too (example - Pampers did a promo last year where you could get some stuffed koala bears, I buy Pampers almost every time I go to the store, so no problem finding a reciept & I had a few UPCs saved, so I could send in for it without waiting until I bought more).

Puriana Weight circles

Purina has a program called "Purina Pro Club" for people who have 5+ dogs or 5+ cats. I don't know anything about the cat version since I only have one cat, but here's the info about the dog version:

Save weight circles from all Purina dry dog food EXCEPT Beneful, Field 'n Farm Classic, Dealer's Pride, Field Master & Mainstay. Even if you don't have enough dogs to join, they're great for trading. If you have enough dogs to join & you feed them Purina foods (except the ones listed), it's worth joining!

Hershey & M&Ms

Hershey seems to always have one offer or another going. They normally require entire wrappers from single candy bars OR they require UPCs from 9.5+ ounce bags. Brands usually included are all varieties of Hershey's chocolate bars, Reese's, all varieties of Kisses, York Peppermint Patties, all varieties of Kit-Kats. In the past they have had promos requiring UPCs from single candy bar wrappers, but lately they seem to want the entire wrapper.

Same thing for M&Ms, they regularly have some sort of promo - IF you can find the forms! Sometimes they want regular bags, sometimes king size, sometimes the bigger bags, so I save all of them...They just did a music cash promo with the new candy bars they put out, but it was very regional and the form was very hard to find, but I keep a few of the candy bar wrappers around just in case they decide to do something else...

Starburst did a beach towel promo over the summer where they wanted wrappers. Can't remember their parent company. Again, forms were hard to find - several of us found them at dollar stores (of all places).

Keebler/Kellogg's

Keebler frequently has cash + offers for UPCs (usually from a list of products). They always say specially marked packages, but the UPCs never seem to look any different, so they're worth saving. There are too many products to list, but you can find a list of "family of products" at the Keebler website. They're currently doing something with the Incredibles movie, but I don't have the form, so I don't have any details except what you can find at the website.

Sometimes they do stuff w/o any S&H charges.

Carr's crackers

Right before the holidays, Carrs did some sort of cash + offer for DVDs (may have had to do with some award program on TV - Oscars?...). I got a copy of "The Sting" for about $6 and 3 UPCs. Don't know if they do anything regularly or not...
