| No printable coupons accepted?! Anyone else have this trouble?? I tried the KMart nearby with Post Its for the first time and they wouldnt take the coupons, I tried the BIC coupons and none of them would scan! I asked customer service and they said they don't accept printables because they won't scan and they don't have a way of entering them into the system. ![]() |

| I used printable coupons for lotion last month at K-Mart. I haven't heard that they stopped accepting them though. |

| Maybe mine is just outdated.. they might have ancient computer systems or something... I rarely shop there, usually only if there's a good sale (like the 50% off already clearanced, which is the reason I went this time), or Christmas or something... oh well They had some different Post Its too.. I've bought like 80 Post Its (well got them for free, didn't really "buy" them) and I guess I don't really need more anyway! .Thanks! ![]() |

| I tried to use the $5/50 Kmart purchase from the email and the cashier and front manager said I couldn't use any coupons that were internet printed--I asked how it would be possible that I would get this coupon in an email from Kmart and not be able to use it. I had to take it to the service desk and complain, but they finally gave me the money. While I was 'arguing', one of the ladies that told me I couldn't use it proceeded to tell me that she had used two of them on separate transactions earlier in the week. Hello, what do you think I am, stupid? If you can use them, so can I!!! DUH! |

| I can't tell you how many ISSUES I have had with K-Mart over time. You are right, they completely lack CS. They are rarely helpful, and don't seem to care about customer complaints. Because of this, I rarely shop there except for specific deals. I stick to Target whenever possible. Walmart is almost as bad as K-Mart as far as I am concerned. Jen |

I just left ALL my items there and left that Target, went to the other local "Tarshay" and had no problemo. But.. I still go back to the 1st Target that made me mad.. just don't deal with that manager. I haven't had a problem since. Some people can be SO NICE and helpful, others so negative and rude. |

| Kmart & Internet Coupons I've learned over time that if a coupon beeps at K-Mart that there is no way that anyone working in that store will be able to figure out how to make the coupon go through. On multiple occassions, I've had 3-4 employees lined up on the register all giving it a try and never, ever have any of them figured out an override. Yesterday I went to 3 different K-marts and used printables at all of them. 1 of the 3 stores the gal looked at my coupons (which 1 out of 4 was printed) and went to the CS desk and came back and said they don't take internet coupons. IMO it's very ignorant for major retailers such as K-mart to refuse them with today's improved technology but unfortunately, there is a much higher instance of fraud and photocoping with internet printed coupons and some of the stores just refuse to deal with them. |

| I have worked at kmart for a year now and as far as I know.. we don't take internet coupons. I was told.. at least this was the impression I was given.. that we don't take them because of too many "conterfiet" printables. I was told by our security guy that we are not suppose to take them. Our system also has it that if u buy an item that is less than the coupon.. even by 1 penny... that it won't take the coupon either.. When wrigley 10pk gum was on sale a few weeks ago for .99 cents.. it would not take the $1 coupon.. I even tried MANUALLY entering the coupon and the system would not do it. Just a heads up if anyone has not tried this. I was bummed.. being a coupon addict.. LOL.. myself .. I saw this deal and thought I would try it but after seeing it didn't work.. I didn't do it. It is frustrating because I see both sides.. one as a cashier who has to deal with the customers frustrations and anger at ME but on the other hand.. I see where as a customer thinking it is a good deal and not being able to do it and being disappointed... i can sympathize. Also, as far as I know.. we cannot do overrides on coupons. We can scan it.. and if it does not work.. then.. we can enter it manually. I always do that..I have never seen a manager at my work override a coupon. Only way we can override is to change the price itself of the item.. and manager's frown on that cause we have to account for every override that we.. as cashier's. do and if we don't have a logical answer.. we get in trouble.This is just what I know, not making excuses.. this is just what I know from my experience working as a cashier at kmart. | i too sometimes have problems using printables, until last week. my cashier was having trouble scanning them in, she called the manager over and he showed her to hold her finger over the 1st part of the bar code and scan the 2nd part of the bar code, they somehow worked that way. so from now on, i suggest this to the cashier and it works no problem ? if, you look at a printable you'll see what i mean, how there are 2 parts to the barcode. |

| When I go to Kmart they always hold their thumb over half the coupon whether it is printed off the net or cut from the newspaper. Though almost everytime I have been in there with coupons a manager has had to come over and do the coupons. I usually end up holding up the line and what not. Not really sure why it always takes a manager, but it does. |

| I sent K-Mart an e-mail regarding this (because I had the same thing happen). It was sent as an e-mail, how else are you suppose to use it?!?!? I did receive an e-mail back that stated the local store manager would call me. I didn't think they would - it has been about 3 weeks. Well, what do you know - last night she called TWICE! I was not home the first time, and the 2nd time I was giving the baby a bath. She left a message that she would call me back on Wednesday. We'll see what she has to say! |
