About a week ago I was at Hy-vee to pick up a few things and a catalina spit out that said "purchase 10 General Mills items and get 2 free Movie tickets to Dark Knight (the new Batman movie)". It also stated to watch the store circular for more details.

When Wednesday's circular came out I looked all through it and found nothing. So today I decided to just try it and if it didn't work I would just return the items.

Select General Mills cereals are on sale this week 5/$10. I bought a variety of 10 and had coupons for all of these. As soon as the cashier was done scanning the 10 boxes the catalina spit out with a code on it for the movie tickets! (This was before we had even completed the transaction.)

The catalina states to go to fandango.com and type in this code to purchase your tickets. It doesn't expire until the end of August. The movie comes out *I believe* July 18th.

It says on the original catalina (the one advertising this deal) that the deal is good through 7/5. But I wanted to jump on it now as the cereal was on sale and some of my cereal coupons expire 6/30.

Thank you for posting this. I got one that said available July 4-13, and to check my ad, but nothing was in the ad. I am going to try it today and hopefully it will work!

Before I did the transaction I asked the manager about it and they had no clue. They told me to tell the cashier to set my coupons aside (don't put them in the coupon slot thing) and that if it doesn't work to return them all and get my coupons back.

I've gotten two of these slips. I ended up putting them on my coupon train because the nearest theatre that participated in the program was an hour away. Ah, well.

I got the cat for the free movie tix at my Albertson's today I do believe that these tickets that you get through Fandango by using the code is good for any movie, not just the Batman movie. Tip: don't redeem your code for tix until you know exactly what movie, date, & showing you'd like to "purchase" for. You have until 8/31/08 to redeem your codes.

If anyone gets some of these that they don't want, please PM me! My whole family wants to see this movie.
