That the this grocery forum is missing Costco and Food4Less. While I understand that not everyone has a Food4Less which is actually owned by Kroger, I'd like to talk about it. They do have some good loss leaders from time to time and I do save a lot when I go there. I have had a lot of Catalina's from there too.

So I am asking for a forum if there is any interest. I know for a fact that Kroger is trying to come back into the Chicago market and they chose to go the Food4Less name route instead of marketing themselves as Kroger.

How about Martins, I know Martins is in MD, PA, VA, & WV but I don't know if they are anywhere else?

I just noticed the new Food4Less category tonight and then found this thread. I have one, and I've been in a couple times, but I've been thinking about going again to compare prices to where I usually shop, which is WinCo, and they are pretty cheap.

I'd love to see a Big Y thread if there is interest from others as well. I think Big Y is just a New England chain. Their normal prices are pretty high but have great sales...

Really? Clemens is gone? Too bad! I used to shop their sales when I lived in PA. Their regular prices were quite high, but some of their sales and buy one get one frees w/ q's were quite good!

I haven't been to Food4Less in the last two weeks because they haven't had any good deals. Its out of my way, but once in a while they have a page of loss leaders that makes the trip worthwhile. Personally I have found their non-sale items to be quite expensive.

They are actually Kroger operating under a different name, so they might be springing up in more markets.
