The CVS bags are white with the red CVS logo. So not only do they get dirty fast, they get holes in the corner pretty quickly. Of course I bus/walk everywhere, so mine get a bit more wear and tear than being put in a car trunk.

I just commend you for asking for shopping bags for your b-day. If you want pretty bags, then get them!! A lot of women (me!!) wouldn't be happy getting something like that for a b-day present. You go, girl!!

I KNOW its to much to spend, but it is my bday, im hitting the quarter-century mark sept 5th.

Been trying to find a deal though, hubby said for me to just buy them, with shipping from the envirosax website it would be $45, so i was watching some on ebay and they were going for $37 + $5 shipping!! I am going after the Graphic Series, five bags in a little bag, compact and ready to go!

I saw this idea online yesterday after reading this post:

You can make your own out of old T-shirts! Cut off the sleeves and cut the collar off to open up the neck part to make a wider opening. Then stictch the bottom of the t-shirt to sew up the bottom of the bag and do a zig-zag stictch over the cut edges to prevent fraying. Use the shoulders from the cut sleeves as handles. Sooo easy, I made 3 yesterday and they are soo cute!!

Allie8302, I have a ton of the reusables (about 10-12) and some trips I do use them all. I have a giant bed bath and beyond one to hold the others, the freebie earthbound farm, kroger insulated, kroger regular, and target regular. I really love the insulated ones the best. Maybe get a couple of insulated ones for your cold stuff at the grocerys tore..they hold up better than the plain green bags you can get anywhere. Good for you doing something for the environment for your b-day. I have been debating a pretty water bottle for months, but so far I just have the $2 one from target (32 oz sport thingie). I miss pre-bottled water so bad, but even though I recycle it I know the by products of the recyling do not make it guilt-free like the water companies would like you to believe.

EMS cakes...I'm really visual, so I'm about to google these things you are talking about...do you have a link? Thanks for the great idea.

I have heard wonderful things about ChicoBag.com - Curb your consumption but I don't own any of them myself.

All the bags I carry were either free or I made them from scrap material.

The best bag that I own in from Home Depot. It's the bright orange bag with black clips. The clips go on either side of your shopping cart and you can just toss everything in. It's always my bag of choice when I'm only running in to get a few items. It's big, so it could get pretty heavy. It's also only $1.
I got one of these awhile back on a deal posted here and it is VERY compact (filds into it's own bag) and has a clip on it. Seems durable too and very lightweight

I took some of my husband's old Marine Corp. Green Shirts and made grocery bags from them. They are the best bags around, Just sew up the from besides the buttons and the bottom, then cut out the neck and arms then I sew the arms back on to the sides of the bag they worked out great and I get so many questions about them.

A lady on another site sent me 11 green bags as part of a secret pal exchange and I'm really happy with them. They are from go0againbags.com and they are very sturdy, and they come in different sizes. I've washed mine and reused them lots and they are still holding well.
