 Giant Eagle ad is tricky.....didn't work with the choc. chips......8( Okay here is my tentative plan for 10/4-10/10 at Giant Eagle.... Nestle choc. chips are on sale for 4/$9.00 If you buy $10 in products you get a coupon for $3.00 off your next order. Duncan Hines Cake mix is part of this deal. It's on sale 10/$10. I plan to buy 4 bags of choc. chips for $9.00 and 1 Duncan Hines for $1.00 Total $10 subtract $4.00 (4 coupons (Nestle choc. chip) @ .50/1 doubled = $4.00 off) Total out of pocket $6.00 *****Next good sale is buy $20 worth Green Giant boxed veggies 10 for $10 and get a $5.00 coupon towards your next order. I plan to buy $20.00 worth of Green Giant veggies Total $20.00 subtract $10.00 (10 coupon @ $1/2) subtract $3.00 register coupon (from choc. chips above) Total out of pocket for 20 boxes of veggies $7.00 GET REGISTER COUPON FOR $5.00 off next order Go back to the choc. chips Buy 4 choc. chips and 1 Duncan Hines cake mix Total $10.00 subtract the $5.00 I just got from the veggies and my 4 $.50/1 coupons for choc. chips PAY $1.00 out of pocket Get $3.00 register rewards again.........REPEAT So for $16.00...I should get 20 boxed veggies, 2 cake mixes and 8 bags of choc. chips. Anybody else have some good ideas for this deal. Hamburger Helper is also 10/$10.....buy $20 worth....get $5.00 off your next order. If you have good coupons for this it could be a great deal. | My plan has been foiled. I bought the choc. chips....and didn't get a $3.00 coupon. I asked the guy at the service desk. He said the ad is tricky.....if you look close the choc. chips are separated by a small space, (even though all of the area is shaded in the same color). He said that's how they trick you into buying something. Hmmmmmm........shady Giant Eagle. Anyway, .......$1.25 still isn't bad for Nestle choc. chips, and I love to bake. Sorry guys. The vegetable deal is still good though. |

| This week is also double $1 coupon week, so I'll definitely be in on the veggie deal. I'll also probably get hamburger helper, progresso soups, and a few others I have coupons for. Do any of you run into problems with the "limit 2 of the same type of coupon" policy? I try to sneak in extras and shuffle them around when I can. I hate that policy!! |
