true, it has happened before that a site was made to submit the members' personal info regarding a specific thread on IPs that was deemed inappropriate and illegal. it gave a lot of people sleepless nights not knowing if and when, they will get the subpoena. I dread to think of anybody in that situation later on knowing that many have good intentions to share. however, we do not know who gets hold of what we share and that is opening ourselves to a lot of potential problems.

I think the link of that can be shared safely especially if its in a newspaper of nationwide circulation. it is up to the person who checks the link if it is valid in their state.

If a company posts something in a newspaper of major circulation, I think that it is open to the public because if not, they can take it down easily so page will no longer be accessible.

but its not the same with emailed coupons meant for specific target groups; if the company intended it for everyone, it would have been published in their website.

What about all those CVS coupons that were here before, if we used them are we in trouble?

Since I personally signed up for the Washington Post online edition which contained the $3 off$15 coupon awhile back, it is mine to do what I want with --- share or not share --- because it was in the online version and I could print it a million times if I wanted to and share with all of my friends..........or not...................

Since I did not get to the May 18th NY paper that contained the $5 off $15 coupon on May 18th, I was not able to access the coupon online, because after that date, only the news stories were available, not any coupon or advertising copy. Since someone else was able to access it, presumedly online on May 18th, that person has the ability to make a million copies if they want to and share with all the friends............or not............... HOWEVER, this does make the assumption that the entire paper was available on the NY newspaper website, as it was on the Washington Post website --- I do not know if this is in fact true.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here --- just a newbie trying to figure out how this works ---- I have been getting great ideas from AFC for some time now, and finally joined and want to "give back", but the fine lines of this sharing stuff is just too much for me to get my arms around exactly. Thank You, All!

Coupon emailed to an individual were meant for the individual and CVS has been cracking down on that. By saying you can no longer do the things above, AFC is protected. AFC is not responsible for what you do with a coupon outside of the forum, however they can say you can not make posts about getting/receiving coupons.

If there is a link to a coupon that is on a newspaper, providing the link and instructions is okay since it is on the public internet (newspapers website).

We ask that actual CVS coupons not be posted without getting approval from an admin or mod.

Okay I read and reread all this stuff on the coupons.

Am i corrected in saying that all this is for the CVS coupons only. Because all the others are either in newspapers, web sites, ect.

I don't have a CVS store around here so I'm okay with that I guess i would like to know If this pretty well is all about the CVS coupons????????

Monica's Post doesn't specify CVS only. Therefore, I would say it applies to ANY/ALL coupons anyone is wanting PM'd or emailed!!
