I worked at Wal-Mart for 5 years and I have seen it all and heard it all. I've been pushed to the ground (literaly) the day after Thanksgiving. My theory, what goes around comes around and do on to others as you would like done to you.

Those of you who are able to stay home with your children I am jealous. That is what I would like to be doing right now. Hopefully this site will make that happen and then I will have all of you to thank.

Sometimes we are having a bad day and take it out on others. I don't think we should
take it out on our AFC family. We are a circle of friends.

I am glad this thread has been bumped up. I have noticed a few posts where a legitimate question has been asked by newer members, only to have a more seasoned couponer respond in a rude or snide manner that makes the op feel stupid for their question. It's good to remember that there are alot of new members here who want and need our help! There are no stupid questions! Let's keep AFC friendly and helpful!

Remember we have new members joining us daily. I am going to ask that everyone join me to answer questions, even though most of us have answered the question, and seen similar threads time and time again. We don't want to scare them away, who knows, they could become a vital part of AFC!

I have yet to read a really snide remark from the vet couponers here. I just think that being written on the net, we have no way of "seeing" the emotions behind the written word. Most often, sometimes the questions of newbies and not so newbies have to be answered straightforward especially if it involves rants among newbies and not so newbies bordering on fraudulent activities.

when we are told that, hopefully we don't take it as a personal attack but as an FYI not unless the person who gave the reply is outright rude without knowing specifics of the situation and start labelling the one who is asking the question or making a rant.

I know some of us are sensitive but if we really want honest answers, we should be grateful to those who give honest, non-sugar-coated answers that will help us do it the right way. I'd rather have an honest, straightforward answer to something I want to know than someone tell me great job for doing something that is outright fraud which I got away with.

Even if the same questions are asked and answered over and over, it is this first time that OP has asked. We all had lots a questions in the beginning, and I still have questions. Please take the time to answer someones question the way you would like someone to answer you.

I usually do a quick search to find an answer to a question...but sometimes the search function on the site doesn't narrow down the thread or post results enough so its just easier and faster to post the question or issue. (or let it go unanswered). Perhaps I need some hints on how to narrow down a search (probably alreadya thread or a few posts on the subject somewhere).

I love this site and am hoping and praying I have never hurt anyone's feelings or belittled them (as I am cashiering right now). If anyone feels I have PLEASE PM me so I can make amends with you! This is a wonderful site and I have seen a few threads lately that I was like "wow wonder if someone knows whats going on here" how do we handle a situation like that?
Also, we learn by asking questions sometimes I read and reread things and still can't comprehend so thank you to people who can help me. I also am not sure if I'm using the Search right.
I also feel I have the best of both worlds. I'm a full time SAHM and work part time for a few hours here and there. And, I love getting out of the house. Especially those days Gage thinks I'm the meanest mommy in the world and he's gonna let me know!

I guess I should have been a bit more specific in my post. I agree with you that honest answers to questions need to be given and we must not beat around the bush when it comes to issues of misuse of coupons, fraud, etc. The newbies will never learn the ropes correctly if they aren't guided in the right direction.(heck, I'm still a newbie myself!!!) What I had in mind when I originally posted was when someone asked a question, like where a particular link was located at, and there was a completely unnecessary comeback from someone who has been here a very long time. The post added no value to the content of the thread and and was condensending in nature. This was not the first time this had happened either. Had I been brand new and that person responded to me in that way, I don't think I would have felt very comfortable posting another question here, and I am not an overly sensitive person. I just wanted to clear things up there.

Thank you for this post. I'm fairly new and enjoy reading the useful posts, learning more ways to save, and just feeling like you have someone out there that gets your(mine) coupon addiction. Just one complaint however. A day or so ago I was reading a post(my son was reading over my shoulder,12yr old) and someone "abbreviated" an expression containing a curse word. My son asked me if they were allowed to do that.?. I told him I didn't think so and it was probably an accident. My kids are excited about us saving $. We're working hard to get a house with more space. We have more than outgrown our home. I want to be able to be here w/o worrying about what my kiddos might see, ya know. Please don't think I'm being judgemental. We just don't talk like(or use expressions) that. I know my babies will and have seen and heard more than I wish they have. I just want to protect them as much as I can as long as I can. Thank you to all who are working sooo hard to make this a great site! I apologize if I've offended anyone in any way!

No, trolling is posting something that you know will rile someone up. For example, here when someone posts that they stole all the peelies off diapers at Target and sold them on eBay (I made that up but it illustrates the point). It would make everyone jump all over that thread and cause a big stink with possibly name-calling and all that.

Many times trolls will completely make something up just to stir up trouble, other times they will just exaggerate or criticize someone else's post. In all the cases a troll is actively looking to have a negative impact on the board.
