Did those of you who received Senseco coffee systems in the past have to pay anything? I received an email saying I was eligible to receive a Senseco along with a cannister to hold the pods and $1 coupon. In smaller print it said I needed to fill out payment info and that there was a $15 S&H charge. Did you have to pay this? I didn't want to give them my CC info until I asked you guys for help in deciding whether it was worth it. TIA for any help you can give me.

when the offer very first came out they were totally free. But the last time the offer came around, there was a $15 s&h charge. Basically, if you need/want one, it's a good deal. They are definitely more than that in the stores, especially if it includes extras.

I got mine free but now they charge for shipping. The coffee maker is fantastic and other brands of coffee pods will work in it. They are $69 at the stores in my area.

I got mine back when they were doing the TOTALLY FREE thing, If I was in the market for another one I'd deffenitely pay the $15 to get it ~~ I love mine and use it ALL the time. Yes the $15 S/H is a much better price than going to town and paying $70 PLUS.

I also got one when they were free but threw it away since it would only put out 5 ounces of coffee no matter how much water went into the machine. I have the Gevelia one and it works great - gives the right amount of coffee for the amount of water put into the machine. I have also gotten the Home Cafe but it only made luke warm coffee (YUCK). I would really like to know when they make these machines who decided that 5 or 6 ounces was a "cup of coffee" = my cup is 12 ounces.

I just ordered mine. I thought it would be totally free, but I had to pay the $15 shipping. I immediately googled and found them going anywhere between 70-100 bucks, so I figured it was a steal. I needed a coffeemaker anyway, as the last one I bought died, and I live alone so this was perfect. Definitely worth the $15 bucks if you're gonna use the product.

I got mine free as well, before they started charging the shipping and handling fee. I would use the two cup setting for one regular cup of coffee. The size of a cup by the senseo standard is that in Europe. I jumped two feet into the air the first time I turned it on. It was so LOUD, haha.

Lou, $15 is still a good deal. I got two when they were having a $50 GC deal and Target was clearancing out the blue ones for $30 each. My wife kept one for our other house in the mtns and I flipped the second one on Ebay without UPC code for $32 + shipping. Netted 2 $50 GC's in the process....... If you don't want the coffeemaker - you can double your money on Ebay. If its a decent color, you may do a bit better than I did as long as you keep it new in box. My wife actually likes it even though the pods can be an expensive way to make coffee if you drink a lot of it. They make "replacement pods" that you can use which is just a screen to go in it that will allow you to use bulk coffee instead of pods if you prefer. Haven't used one, but have seen them. I hate coffee personally, so I can't give much advice on that. I can give my wife's approval though............

I got one a few months back and had to pay the 15 s/h...it was a GREAT deal. They also sent me a huge box of the pods in different flavors, there were about 20 boxes of pods altogether.

I got this free over a year ago for my husband ( I hate coffee) he loves it and he loves this coffee pot, I bought another one to have for a spare. I had to pay $15, it also had a free bag of coffee. The price of the SENSCO at my Walmart is $69 plus tax. You can use other brands of coffee pods in it. My husband makes a second cup of coffee from the same pod.

When they were giving them away, I wound up with FOUR of them (only wanted ONE) and didn't like mine. The coffee was just TOO strong for my taste! I gave mine to my DS. Couldn't find anyone else to give the other 3 to, so after a while just sold them on eBay. Personally, I'm glad I got to "try before I buy," because I would not have bought it! Just IMHO.... ![]() |
