I found one of these the other day inside my wetjet refill pack - my only question is....why would you need a STARTER...when you obviously bought the REFILL pack. My only guess is so that you buy one for each floor of your house??!!

well, the swiffer one is at least good towards any starter kit - so you could buy a different product. the clorox one i only found out about because I emailed clorox to ask for a coupon and they told me where to find the one I wanted. i thought the same thing though. at least that one makes a tad bit more sense as you usually do have more than one bathroom - but still. if i hadn't known ahead of time, i'd just buy another with my coupon, and return that one with my full price receipt i guess. what i wonder is, can i buy the box of refills, rip it open after it's scanned, and use the coupon towards the kit in the same transaction?

I wouldn't see why you couldn't open the box if you are going to buy it. I buy a box of animal crackers for my son when we go shopping and I end up paying for an EMPTY box when we check-out. I wouldn't see the difference!!

i finally went to buy the clorox wand set and first opened the refill box to check the coupon and there wasn't one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clorox lied to me! well, maybe it's an old box or a new one and the coupon isn't in there anymore but anyways, i suggest you check first like i did. the box isn't sealed in any way, so you can check right there in the store. I really REALLY want the coupon for the starter kit, if anyone has one to trade.
