Just received the Family Dollar Cirular in the mail and what did I find the upper right hand corner, but a coupon for $5.00 off your $25.00 purchase valid from 2/1/08-2/14/08. Sorry for the typos (typing at work is tricky but I know that there are a lot of mnfctr coupons out there for a lot of these things, so with the $5.00 off should make for a pretty decent trip!! The one I got was the store circular..same as in stores, only it came in the mail. What I plan to buy is:

Total before Q= around $28.00
-$5.00/$25.00=$23.00
-4 $2.25 off Electrasol=$14.00
-$.50 off Kleenex=$13.50
-$1.00 off 2 Post Cereals=$12.50
-$1.00 off any 2 Glad products=$11.50

So my total OOP should be around $11.50 for things I need anyways..so not a bad deal for me as I have one about four blocks away from me!!

The circulars are actually in-store and when I went in today they had a sign at the door that said "$5.00 off coupon available here (with a picture of the circular) while supplies last" and sure enough right at the door were the stack of circulars. Must tell you that the cashier was very mean and snotty to me and wouldn't let me use my mnfctr coupons after the transaction so I asked her to get me a manager and he okayed it wiht no problem. So I bought

2 x Cottenelle regular 12 packs $4.00

Total OOP was around $16.00..not so great...but needed the stuff anyways. Would have done my original deal I planned, but had used the Electrasol Qs at Dollar General and had bought the cereal at Target (at a better deal).

Plan to make another trip later on this week and get all of the kiddos and DH some new socks in one trip (5kids 1 hubby) and some underwear on a third trip..
Also noticed a lot of their clothing was 40% off so they had some sweaters for $4.xx and some sweat pant sets for $8.xx. The Luvs were on sale as well and they had some Pampers Dri clearanced out to $5.xx

Ok finally a store I have around me. So do you use the $5/25 first then your other coupons?

It won't take the Q if you do it after your manufacturer Qs and they are lower then $25.00 so try and get them to scan the $5.00 off first and then hand her the manufacturer Qs. that is what I did and the manager had to come and approve it, but I explained that I had all of my coupons out, but she only took the FD one first..HTH

Now I gotta look and see where a family dollar is.. I swear there should be one around my town

ya.. I was thinking since my target up'd them to 7.99 plus man 3.00 & 1.50 is only a .50 savings and Target is a lot farther
