Has anyone else noticed that the clearance items and prices differ from CVS to CVS even within the SAME town??

Since Sunday (3 days ago), I have been in 3 different CVS stores.

On Sunday, I went into CVS #1: no SoftSoap clearanced.

On Tuesday, I go into CVS #2: I find 4 scents that have been clearanced. Pulmeria, Morning Mist, and Milk+Rose all are $2 each. Milk+Lavender = $1 each.

On Tuesday, I go into CVS #3: Same 4 scents are clearanced, however Pulmeria & Morning Mist are $2 each. The other 2 are 2.99 each. None are marked $1. Small bottles (2oz) of Purell are clearanced to $1.

Then, this AM (Wed), I go back into CVS #1: not only are the same 4 scents clearanced BUT all 4 are $1 each. Purell is not clearanced at this store.

Why is it all so different? Anyone have any guesses??

I know that is so annoying. I was told that the manager of each store is in charge of what prices the clearance should be. Some are more generous than others.
