Thanks! I will pay more attention to the cake mixes. I had 2 really great shopping trips at Cub today.

Went to first Cub and was able to get $39.72 worth of groceries for .17 ! The cashier was a little impressed. I got 7 - 2 litters of Coke, 8 Kraft puddings, 2 boxes of post cereal, 2 bags of Doritos, 10 Old el Paso products (refried beans and shells), and 1 crest bonus toothpaste. I saved 101%! No joke. She put in 2 extra coupons off the products which helped pay for the tax on the pop! I didn't realize this until I got home and was looking for the 2 coupons.

Then to another Cub and I was able to get my bill to $1.08. The manager had to come over because of all the coupons. I only saved 98% this time.

Cub has a deal right now that you buy 3 -2 liters of Coke you get 2 free. I still have the 5 free coke coupons, so I am getting 7 for free!

Went to Cubs this evening! I'm so excited.
Well.....started in one line and I asked the clerk if the green light was on the catalina machine. "No, it's red," she said and could not fix it. Nothing came out after our transaction.

Went very nicely to the service desk and she nicely & quickly refunded my money.

Went to line #2 now. Before I checked out I asked the clerk if her Catalina machine was working. "Nothing has come out of it all day long. It has a red light," said the next clerk, again very nicely.

Go now to line #3 and I asked the 3rd clerk if her catalina machine was working.
She replied, "Yes, it is working. But there is no green light. Only a red light."
Nothing printed. She again was really nice too.

I returned to the service desk. Some really irrate customer was on the phone screaming and yelling. It was ugly, but the service desk clerk was nice.
I explained my catalina did not print. She asked me how much it was supposed to be for and quickly wrote me out $10.00 coupon.
She was really nice.

If none of the catalina machines are functional, I certainly can see how Cubs gets out of this deal.
At least I got a $10 coupon out of it.

You weren't suppose to get a catalina for this promo. It was a coupon in the paper for $10/10. Didn't you have the coupon in your paper?

I guess it did! Funny how the cashiers didn't have a clue about it, but then they normally don't.

I am just trying to picture going to some store, buying some random assortment of stuff, and then going to CS and arguing that a $10 coupon should have printed. Funny enough, right? But then the punchline is ... they gave her one!! That's awesome!!
