Do you cut all your coupons from the insert? Because I ask this because I see like look in SS from 3/16 or whatever. And if they are all cut??????? Curious as I put together my new coupon binder! ![]()

Some that get lots of inserts don't but I do since I only normally get around 2-3. I sort as I cut & put the ones I won't use in a different stack for swapping & coupon trains.

I cut the ones out that I know I'll use and then when I have time, I take one of the bigger junk mail envies and cut the rest of them for trading and RAOK's. It just is really hard for me to throw Q's away!! I'd rather RAOK a Potluck Envie than watch them expire when someone else might could use them! ![]()

I cut all of mine. I have separate organizers for the coupons that i want/will use and for the ones that I will use for RAOK's or trains. It is easier for me to find them, if they are cut and behind their respective headings in the organizers.

I don't cut mine. I keep them all in a drawer labeled with the date and source and then when I'm ready to shop I go on couponmom.com and it lists what the stores deals and what coupons go with them. It even does Target, walgreens, cvs, rite-aid and walmart. You can also search just with the name of the product.

I was until i got sick one weekend, out of town the next, then before you know it I've got stacks of uncut coupons, which in some ways I'm finding easier but I can't stand to have that huge pile of coupons and I find it hard to "catch up" now.

I cut all of mine. I put the ones I use in one pile and the ones I won't in another that I'll use for trades etc. When I have tons of inserts (like I do with red plum) I cut them all and put them in recycled envelopes with the insert date on the front. They sit in an amazon box and I can just flip thru and grab what I need for trades, RAOK, or trains. Q's from SS & P&G I keep in a small separate accordion file so I can easily find what people are looking/asking for. Some people it's easier to leave the inserts intact and just cut when you need them, others would rather have them organized by alpha or category. You need to find what works best for you personally. It takes some time to get a good system going, but once you do, finding things for shopping, trades, etc is so much easier. HTH

I separate each page (identical) and cut them ALL at the same time. I get about 20-30 papers a week and use a big set of scissors to cut them. That way once they are cut I can organize them right away. Good luck getting your binder together!! It's tons of fun...GAG...LOL

I get one paper at home..stop by the newspaper recycling bin every week and acquire multiples of everything..I sort those by exact types..open up and sort out each individual page and then cut a bunch at once..while holding tightly and using industrial scissors..my philosophy is..would I take whatever it is if it was free..if it's yes, then I cut and categorize in my binder..if it's something like laxatives/baby items (I'm past that) then I toss...if I have a bunch of say..slimfast..that I'm not going to use but someone might..then I give those to anyone that wants...

for multiple papers it is really easy if you staple the like pages and coupons and then cut them. that makes them stay in place and as long as you don't staple the barcode or the exp date it is all good! Then when you need one if you tear it from the back somewhat carefully there usually aren't any hassles and they come off clean and no tears just a couple holes from the staples. I have been doing that since about week 4 and it is such a life saver. Sometimes the pages don't match up so have to be a little more careful with cutting them!

I tried not cutting, but I was missing too many deals 'cause I didn't "see" them. I even printed out the list from Taylor town, but I just need to see the q for it to register in my brain. So, I cut what I know or think I'll use, and leave the remainder uncut, place a sticky (free post-it page marker!) and write on the sticky what q's are in the SS--I don't get as many q's as most markets so I can usually fit all the q names/amounts on the sticky.

its easier for me to find coupons when they're filed accdg to inserts date when there's an unadvertised deal rather than than cut them all and go crazy looking for them ![]() |
