| I am not trying to step on anyone's toes here, because if I knew it would work, I would do it too, but I have a couple of questions about some of the recent coupons people have been using. 1. The 1.50/1 Cream oil body Lotion or hand cream. People have stated that they have been using this to buy a trial size body wash from Walmart that is ringing up 97¢. Is this cool to use, or would it be considered fraud since it states lotion not body wash? 2. The clean team 3.00/2. Someone stated that this deal was working with the regular Huggies soft packs that are 1.47 (?). Once again, is this cool to use even thought the coupon clearly states that it is good for any Cleanteam flushable wipes? 3. The KY 3.00/1 coupon. I have seen that some are trying to use it to buy the trial size. I have never seen this coupon, but I have heard that this coupon states that it excludes trial sizes. 4. The 1.00/1 any one Huggies bath and body product. I actually used this coupon today to get the 1.47 soft pack of huggies wipes, and I had heard that bath and body included the wipes, but my cashier raised cain about it saying it wasn't what was pictured, and that it had to be a baby wash. ANY baby wash product. AGAIN, I AM NOT TRYING TO STEP ON ANYONE'S TOES HERE! I would just like to know the answers. I promise I am not that uptight, or anal. ![]() Last edited by Kmchamplin; 04-05-2008 at 07:14 AM. Reason: I have a possibly controversial question about coupons. |

| Hi, The KY qpon doesn't state a size that I have. There is a very wide qpon that does. I can post a link to both if you need. The $1/1 Huggies bath n body qpon can be used for wipes technically since it's used for the body. I haven't seen the $1.50/1 oil, and I haven't used the clean team for anything else then the $1.64 packs. Steph |

I am only going to give you my interpretation of the rules and there are always going to be "those cashiers" like in # 4! Please understand if you ask 10 different people the same ??, you'll probably get 10 different interpretations. Be prepared cause you will probably get lots of answers with this ?? but bottom line......you have to choose for yourself! 1. For me, yes, it is wrong because it isn't being used for what the coupon was intended for! I'm pretty bottom line....if it says hand cream or cream oil body lotion, then that is what it was meant to be used for. Just because someone says it will work on something else doesn't make it right. 2. Same as # 1. If it says Clean Team Flushable Wipes then that is what it is for, not the Huggies unless they ( Huggies) are considered to be Clean Team Wipes, which they aren't! 3. The one I have says.......excludes Trial sizes, so I wouldn't even try it. However, in different parts of the country, coupons sometimes say different things! 4. I would say yes, it is a body wash product and the coupon states on any. However, the bottom line is with the store. We are mandated to a degree by what they say we can & can't do. I personally just don't push the envelope. It isn't worth the wear and tear and stress and it takes the fun out of it for me! Do I lose any money over it?? No, because I can always find a deal! Do I lose any sleep?? If I push the envelope and get stressed, Yep, I do lose sleep!! I would rather not take a remote chance of having the companies take something away from us than to push that envelope, just to win and prove a point! Does that make any sense?? Again, this is my personal take on the situation! Can't wait to see the answers you get....... ![]() |

| I was thinking the samething....I walked around at WM today (friday) trying to figure out how to use those coupons (Dove $1.50 and others like huggies)-I just stood there at the trial size area and couldn't come up with a deal after reading the coupons and the sizes you were suppose to purchase-I can use some types of coupons with no problem-like something with overage I might could use one or two-but any store around me-that includeds Wm would not let me use enough to make my whole order almost free. Besides they won't even let me use more than one of the same coupon and a total of $20 of coupons per order -so I can't and I'm not going to even try to use the Dove coupons I have on the trials sizes. I thought all the $1.50 Dove coupons stated the ounces, and trial is only like 2 oz-and there are some tearpad Dove $1.50 coupons on the hair stuff that I bet scan on the trial size Dove anything. Getting your order free-or really cheap for most people is frees, sales and normal coupon useage on the items the coupons states or doubling or tripling-you can't really count on overage on coupons-in my experiences. I don't know if counting the overage toward lowering your total is really fair-even though if you get away with it-and the coupons were not intended for that item or sized item that's kind of like using a bunch of 992's to lower your total. But I guess if you can do it and if the cashier lets you and if you don't think it's wrong then who am I to say what for anybody to do-but for myself I can't do an order with tons of overage coupons that aren't valid on the items I purchase. | I had my coupon on the Dove body lotion in hand at WM in the trial section. Since all they had was the body wash, I didn't get it, because my q specifically states lotion. I have always been hard-nosed about buying what a q is intended for because: 1. I don't want to get into an argument w/ a cashier 2. Is is really worth it? I mean, we get great deals all the time. 3. I think using a q for other for what it is intended for hurts all of us in the long run. 4. I like to think of myself as a person of integrity. I feel like when you cheat the system, it will eventually come back to you. If you honor the system, it will come back to you. **I wouldn't buy the post-its until I saw from the post-it website that the page markers are actually a flag product. |

| I use coupons to get good deals on items. When those items end up free, it is a bonus. When there is overage, that is great, but it is not expected. I have used the $3 KY (mine says on any KY product) for the 2.57 size, the $3 glade, and the $1 buddies. But, since I live in TX and sales tax is 8.25, and applied on the pre-coupon total, I usually end up having to pay at least a few cents tax anyway. I use the coupons for what they are intended, and I, like some other posters, don't want to get into an argument with a cashier either. But, if on the coupon and all of its fine print, there is no specific size mentioned, then I think it could be used for trials sizes without a problem. If it gets denied, I really don't care too much, and just move on. |

I would like the link if you don't mind. I have never seen this coupon and I have a friends wedding coming up and think this would go nice in a gift basket I am making for the bride. Thanks in advance. |

| I don't know about the others, but I can definitely affirm that the Huggies bath and body product can be used on wipes...last year at CVS there were Huggies bath and body peelies ON the wipes "$1 off now" or some such language. Now I always use the bath and body for wipes, never had a problem. CTSunshine |

| I just want to add that the cleanteam coupon does not mention a size so I don't feel guilty about using it on the trial size. But if a cashier were to argue with me I would just say then I don't need them thank you! I have had an argument with cashiers before about the cleanteam not being what was pictured because I bought the blue canister and not the red one on the picture, or the free up to $$.$$ coupons seem to need a manager sometimes |

| I have realized I can find some really good deals by still staying in the rules. I agree with what c1cooper1 said. We don't want to get more strict or scrutinize us any more than they already do. I would suggest following the rules. There are plenty of free things at CVS. My cashiers and Managers there are great and don't have a problem with me getting good deals, and I do stay within the guidelines. I do think in the long run it pays to play it safe. And ultimately is it that big of a deal to get one $2 or $3 product free? No. |

I try to always get what the coupon says exactly. If no trial sizes, then no trial sizes. Sometimes though I don't read the coupon correctly and get the wrong product. Sometimes the coupon scans and we (cashier and I) don't catch it. Sometimes cashier catches it then I don't get it. My problem comes when I realize after the fact that I got the wrong thing, coupon scanned. Do I go back to the store and take the item back and pay the right price?? |

| At my walmart there is also trial sizes of the lotion, as far as the 1/1 bath and body goes, i consider the wipe as part of the body, i asked cashier and they've said if it scans through then it's meant for that item. and as for the KY the Qs i traded for state specifically, ANY... but i agree, you can find enough good deals without abusing coupons! <3 |

There again, that is your choice.......for me, if I'm going back the next day, I would take it back, but if not, it's all according to several factors. I have a very strong conscience factor that acts up sometimes and it can't be satisfied until I have fixed something. Could I have gotten by without fixing it?? Sure! But, integrity goes a long way for me! Again, you have to decide your own boundaries. If it bothers you, take it back! If you made a mistake, and that's OK cause we all do, and you're OK and can learn from it and let it go, that's fine, too. It's all about choices! ![]() |
