| Can anyone tell me what the hot coupons are, I am trying to start a stockpile. I get 3-4 newspapers a week. I clip the ones I know I am going to use, then seperate the ones I will send on trains. But it seems that almost every week I send out some great coupons that I could have used on a great deal.... I dont know what I am doing wrong. What coupons should I look out for, and if nec. purchase? Thanks |

| Frees are always ones that are in high demand... But look for coupons that would make a product free.. Watch the weekly sales, like this week had a great olay deal... so those are in high demand... |

| I'm finding that it benefits you to look for ads at the stores you frequent at least 1 week in advance, if not 2-3 weeks. Lots of times, those ads are posted in stickies. |

Thanks though I think I will probably try to match up the stickies with what I have and try to work it out |

| I usually read through the stickies, find what products I'm interested in, and then look for matching coupons and/or keep my eyes open for new Qs for those products. Lately I've been getting 3-4 sets of inserts. I clip and add to my organizer the ones from the products I know I'll definately use. I also clip & save coupons for products I'd buy if there was a good sale.....things like deodorant, toothpaste, soap, lotions, etc. Things that are not my regular brand, but that I'd be willing to use. I'm also learning to save high value coupons and those for random things that I think there might be an ECB or RR deal on, like BP monitors, etc. I keep those in a seperate envie. The ones I have no interest in at all go to my trains. I also usually keep1 full set of inserts just in case. HTH!! |

| I print out the stickies for the stores that I use and put them in a special binder with a plastic cover over them.. Then when my mind is clear and there is low stress I will start putting the coupons together and put them in a special envelope for that week. We get notice at least 2 weeks in advance and with taylortown preview I am not rushing around saturday to get ready for sunday's sales. plus I learned early on to never throw out a coupon before it expires because you never know what will come up and usally it something you thought you would never need. |

| I find the stickies here really help! I too have trouble with the posted lists of items - I do much better once I see the actual flyers too - but I try to scan the posts quickly for things I know I'm interested in. It also seems to me that the high dollar coupons have a good sale show up about 3 weeks after they come out? I try to organize like Kristie as well..what I will/might use and will trade/RAOK. HTH |

| the olay deal is at walgreens..look on the back page of the walgreens ad this week..olay, zest, and some other soaps are 2/$4 but you receive $4 register rewards back making them free..well there are $2/1 coupons for olay..so use 2 of these on two bars of soap..pay only tax..then get $4 RR..so you are making $4 off of the deal.. |

Coupons for FREE items are always HOT. After that, sometimes it is surprising what coupon is HOT. And sometimes it is HOT in one area of the USA and not in another due to different stores having different sales/prices. Keep clipping what you know you need/use. Put those coupons you will never ever use -- no matter how good a deal -- in your 'coupon train' pile. For ex: No matter how good a deal, I will never ever use pet food coupons. Or most baby coupons. Or "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" coupons. The ICBINC could be free; I'm not buying it. We don't use it; it would go to waste. Now, the coupons you have left: I'd keep $1/1 toothpaste coupons. No matter the brand. Toothpaste always seems to go on sale at some drugstore for $1 each. I'd keep 2 of anything (since you have 3-4 inserts each week) that is a high dollar coupon: $2/1, $4/1, etc. If you have read about being on sale in the past, then I'd keep at least 2 of the coupons for those products. Sales tend to be cyclical (sp??). If it is a high value coupon on a NEW product, I'd keep it. Most of the times, some store will have a special intro price or sale on new products b/c the mfr wants to get their new product into customer's hands. And lastly, if in doubt, keep 2 and put the rest in the coupon train. Does that help at all?? |

How long have I been doing this (this = couponing to the extreme)? And I have the hardest time reading and fully comprehending the sneak peeks of ads when they are typed out. Like you, I want to have the grubby little sales ad in my hand!! ![]() |
