I was wanting to know what is the rule of thumb for the following questions:

If you are trading a $2 Coupon, how much would you ask for in coupons?

How much would you ask for in stamps?

Is there a percentage?

Many times it is 10% of the face value or if it is a hot coupon it can go higher. I know that the Olay's are going for about .50 each on Ebay and I picked up Zest for about .10 each.

If I'm trading coupons for coupons...I normally try to trade for ~equal value. So if you're trading a $2 coupon...I'd be happy to give you two $1 or four $.50 in exchange. HTH

I trade for around equal value, depends what I need at the time. If I have a $2 coup and some one has $1.50 in coups that I will be sure to use, then thats good enough for me. Also if I have a coups that I know I won't use and some one wants to trade, but they dont have anything I need then most of the time I will either ask for a stamp to cover postage it call it a RAOK!

To be honest, I think you could get a different answer from each person.

If I had $2 coupon that I had no use for and you needed, I'd probably trade them "cheaply" -- unless I knew they were super hot.

I agree with what the others have said. I usually look for an equal dollar amount for a trade, but if someone needs something that is of no value to me, its not a big deal to trade for less.
