Gerber jar food - .25 cents! My grandmother was at Big Lots and found Gerber stage 2 and 3 jar foods for .25!!! They don't expire until mid 2008! That's awesome! I'll be headed there tomorrow to see if I can find the same deal at the Big Lots that's closer to my house. This was located just outside Orlando, FL. In Longwood if anyone's in the area.

Went to mine tonight, they had beechnut and gerber, all for 25 cents a jar. Little man is just starting to eat it, so we bought 100 jars! Too bad they don't take coupons......

Please make sure that they are not expired!! I have gotten food more than once from Big Lots only to realize it was either already expired or expired in a couple of days!

Yeah, I spent a half an hour sitting in the aisle looking at the dates on the jars. I would have called the company that made the expired food and told them you bought it that day and it expired already. You have the receipt to prove it. At the very least they will send you some coupons!

Our big lots also sells it for 25 cents a jar. To be even slicker sign up for the buzz club and when they run one of their promotions for buzz club members only you can get a 20% off coupon good for a specific week. Pair that up with the 25 cent jars of baby food and you end up paying 20 cents!! I have also found that when they put it in their add I can take the add to our walmart and they will price match!!! So, then I can pair it with some coupons and get it even cheaper (my daughter goes through at least 3 jars a day!!)

I have been buying baby food there for a while and I always check the dates. Last time I was there, they also had Gerber oatmeal and Beechnut puffs. I can't remember the prices now though.

THANK YOU!!!! I have very hungry twins that go thru 12-16 jars a day!!! I will be buying all they have!!! Even when they get older their occupational therapist says it is good to mix with oatmeal and things to get them ready for thicker foods!! |

I was back in there a few days ago and they had a pretty good selection of 2nd foods in Gerber and Beechnut. I did not see any 1st foods and no puffs. There was only 1 variety of 3rd foods and they were expiring in about one week, so not a good deal. The cereal was the canister of Gerber with DHA in the oatmeal with bananas flavor. It was 1.50. I also noticed that they had several of the Beechnut toddler foods in the microwaveable containers. I can't remember those prices though.

I was there recently too, and the only 1st food they had was beechnut bananas. Good thing little man likes them! They smell like butt though, but that's all banana baby food, . I did get a lot of 2nd and 3rd the first trip I made, and they were some weird stuff, but hey, carrots and beef is good for baby right, . But remember, big lots buys out overstock of product from the distributers, stuff that regular stores won't buy because the exp. date isn't at least 6 months out. And flavors and labeling that they are discontinuing. So don't expect to find any of the flavors at big lots at your regular store, .

It's always a surprise what you find at Big Lots from trip to trip. Hot items sell out quickly and sometimes they'll carry an item for a year, then it's gone for good. Check out your local Big Lots though, you never know what you'll find!
