My video camera just desided to poop out on us, now that we have a little one to video tape! I have the replacement/service plan on it and lucky for me it expires next month...so that is good...i just wondered how many people buy them and then use them or never use them...

I had one on my kodak camera, well it broke, so I called to find out what I had to do.................

Lets just say that by the time it was fixed and I paid for all of the shipping charges, I could have gotten a new camera!

we haven't had to use the one we bought on our camera, wii, tv or DH's laptop *knock on wood*, but we did have to use it for his Xbox twice now, and all they do is exchange it right there for you.

That's how we get a new playstation every couple of years!

! we got a new xbox once...when i worked there...just so you ladies know if it is a product REPLACEMENT plan you can go in and say that it is not working as good as it did the day you bought it and for the most part they will replace it and then all you have to do is buy a new PRP for the new product you get...pretty nice!

I had purchased one for my dauhgters ipod nano about a year and a half ago. early this year her screen would stop displaying on half of it. i followed the directions on the best buy warrenty plan and mailed it in in about 2 weeks she recieved a hgift card for the amount of the purchase, She decided to spend $50 of her own money to upgrade to a higher gig ipod. We had no troubles at all the 10 bucks or so we paid was well worth it. So now she has a brand new ipod, and yes we purchased the warranty again.

Remember back when Montgomery Wards sold ceiling fans? Well......we bought one and bought the 10 year guarantee. It stopped working about nine years after we bought it. I found the ticket and took the fan back. Since they didn't sell fans anymore, they replaced the price of the fan PLUS the guarantee price. They told us they would credit our credit card since that is how we paid for it. I told them I no longer had the card and it was paid off, so they just gave me cash. What a sweet deal! We were able to get another ceiling fan from a different store FREE!!!

Yes! Best protection plan ever No questions asked. We had got it on our steam vac. The bag fell apart from it, took it in 1 year later, they no longer had our model so they gave us the new ungraded model for free (but only thing is, is that you have to buy another service plan for that one - once you use it, it is gone - unless you have just bought it.) Also bought kodak camera, the very next day we were at a b-day party for one of DD friends - DS had just turned 2 and had got a hold of it and dropped it while running though a sprinkler in a puddle of mud - would not work at ALL (thank goodness it was mine instead of someone elses). Took it back in the next weekend with reciept just switched it out no questions asked. Also have bought TV, stereo, speakers, vacuum for best buy have not had to use replacement on them yet but bought them from there even though best buy is just a little higher price wise than if I purhcased else where just but because of the awsome no hassle, no question asked warranty we buy it from best buy!!!

yeah that is not too bad though it is better than having to buy a whole new one...I got my video camera back and i have 19 more days of coverage...so if its going to break...do it now! ! they fixed it and i hope is ok until we can afford a new one...don't know why i bought it with my graduation money 4 years ago...a little silly on my part...but 18 year olds do some stupid stuff. and if that was the worst of it I have God to thank!

Yes...had to use my protection plan for a vacuum I bought that wasn't working correctly IMO. No questions asked and they gave us a whole new vacuum (same brand). No questions asked and good service.

I am using the one for my washer right now. The man came and looked at it adjusted a few things, but he needs to order a part and I need to wait a week to get it fixed, but I can wait, since it won't cost me any thing.

I will never again buy their "service plan". Go for the replacement plan if it is offered. the hard drive in DH's iPod went and we took it back to Best Buy and they "tried to fix" the thing for two weeks before ordering him a refurbished one. Then the refurbished one broke and same story. Then that refurbished one broke as well (yeah this was in a period of a couple months) and we ended up getting yet another refurbished one which luckily has been good.

Argh, I don't want to wait for them to fix it - give me a new one!

We had bought a Epson Stylus Photo printer. For whatever reasons it stopped printing properly. We took it back, they said they couldn't fix it and gave us a new one and a new service plan.

I have used their replacment program before on portable dvd players...they ended up replacing the dvd player with a higher quality version.

I used it on my dyson a few years back...it lost suction and i brought it in for repair. they had to send it out which took FOREVER (was without it for over a month) and when it came back still didnt have very good suction so they gave me a new one and a $50 gift card for my trouble!!

I have had great luck with besy buy replacemet plans. We had an electrical surge in our house like 7 years ago and everything that was plugged in got fryed. Both tvs, our surrond sound, and our VHS player were replaced without a blink. Of course they got their money back when i bought every thing else i replaced there.

Used ours twice on steam cleaner, once on Digital camera, and once on dh cd player. Great experience each time, they actually just replaced the items no question asked and the steam cleaner they didnot have in stock so gave us the next model upgrade for free
