Cvs Gc

I got a GC last week with my prescription, it was for qty # 30 no refills. this week I have a new prescription, same medicine, same dosage, but qty #60. Would CVS see this as a new prescription and give me the GC or not let me have it because it's the same medicine? TIA

If it is on a new form, it should be a new script. I try to do that with DH's ADD meds, but do it about every other month there.

You can always ask & transfer it to Target for a $10 GC (I know, not as good) and then trasfer it back to CVS for a GC if needed. I think they should give it to you since it's a new paper, but you never know...

Well I need to get it today since I am all out, my Dr ordered samples but they are not in yet so she is just giving me rx to last til my next appt. This one thankfully is pretty cheap, not 300 a month like the other one so getting a GC would make it pretty much even. Soooo glad they put those coupons in the ad Thanks everyone for your help

Would have worked just fine except the coupon in the paper is for TRANSFERRED PRECRIPTIONS ONLY and the pharmacy tech was a real ***** about it. (I edited that myself LOL) So I told her that's ok, Walgreens has cheaper prescription prices anyway. And walked out.
So, then I went to WG, chatted with them a bit and was told that WG corporate just sent out home mailers with GC coupons in them, so keep an eye out. However they would not give me one but oh well WG really is cheaper on meds anyway. The good news is my Dr gave me a month rx instead of 2 weeks so I got 2 weeks worth and they are holding the rest of it, and if I need to I may be able to TRANSFER the rest to CVS for the GC.
