Garage sale your stockpile

I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this, DH is not working and my neighborhood is going to have a garage sale. I thought that I would jump on the band wagon along with my neighbors. But I need help in pricing a lot of this stuff and tips on what sales well? Anyone? Also if this turns out to be a helpful post maybe we could make it a sticky for all to refer to? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I don't have a ton of stockpiles since I live in the land of no doubles, but I do tend to get the samples at Target for free with coupons.

Since some of them are samples and sell for about $1 and new, I will try to sell them for .25 or .50. I am talking the Dove facial cleansing pads .50, Olay moisturizure (sp?) .25, bandaids .50, toothpaste .50, Reach toothbrushes $1 or .75, deodorant .50, lotion .50, etc.

I also buy things that are 75-90% off at Target and resell it at Target and that works well also.

Up here in MN, people tend to see the stuff half price and buy it. HTH you, but it all depends also on your area.

Thanks, I have lots of full size Suave Body wash, full size boxes of toothpaste, lots of the Black & Decker stuff, Rotel, canned foods, 3 packs of Irish Spring soap, and 8 packs of the Suave soap. Those are just a few that I question.

Good luck D! You sure you don't need me to add some stuff to sell? Maybe a dog? (FSOT - 16 month old blue Doberman; neutered; shots; thinks he is a lap dog )

Clutterqueen, I would say have of the original price.

Dawn, you forgot to mention that he weighs over 80 lbs and eats like a horse! This dog thinks he is a teacup poodle!

I am just guessing here but on the light bulbs unless your selling them to me to break them up and sell them for .75 - 1.00 a 4 pack.

Thank you all for your tips and support!! My garage sale did great Friday sold about 450.00 all in about 3 hours. Saturday I don't know what happened we did not have any people come to our neighborhood so we only sold about 50.00 worth. I still have lots left to have another sale when DH feels like it! We could not keep shampoo, deo, headache meds, body wash and stuff like that out as soon and we put them up the next person would buy them all!!!
