Need help!! Rebates and coupons

All these mail-in rebates + coupons + sale prices have my head spinning this morning!!

I'm trying to find which drugstore to go to to do the Unilever rebate. I'd like to do the whole thing and get the $20 back.

Does anyone know which drugstore has the best overall prices on these items?? Which drugstore are you going to use?? CVS? Eckerd?? Walgreens??

AAAAHHHHH!! Help!!!

Thanks in advance!!

Jamie

I'll probably use CVS or Walgreens, both of them will probably have sales on the stuff during the rebate period to combine with coupons. BUT - this is one you need to copy before you send it in - the clearing house at Young America is notorious for shorting people on this rebate & if they don't take one UPC, you won't get the bonus either. Generally, the UPCs they've had problems with in the past have been "bonus" packages - 20% more, free Dove soap attached to conditioner, stuff like that. Unilever will make good on it when you call them, but it's a pain in the neck to have to do that, so think about getting "standard" sizes, or just be prepared to call Unilever - up to you how you want to handle it. Sometimes the clearing house will just reject a UPC at random it seems like.

Another Drug Store to consider is RiteAid if you have one near you - if they do a single check rebate on one or more of the products, you'll really come out ahead. I tend not to use RiteAid because they never have the stuff I want in stock & after a few trips like that, I got sick of it!

HTH!

Angry I have another question!!!

I think I'm going to get screwed out of the Colgate/Palmolive rebate!! I didn't read the fine print that says "All four products must be purchased at the same time for this refund to be valid". And the cashier wouldn't ring up my 4 boxes of Colgate toothpaste at the same time!! So I had her ring up the 4 boxes with 2 on each reg. tape!! So, I have 2 receipts rung up one right after the other.....and I'm betting that they'll say I voided the offer because of it!! I'm soooo ticked!

Do you think I should even bother to still send this in??

thanks in advance,

Jamie

Why wouldn't the cashier ring it up together? In any case, I would return and re-buy and if they give you any hassle show them the rebate form stating why you have to do this. Most rebates are really easy to do--unfortunately this one has a not so great reputation.

Also, I was thinking about trying to pair this one with the KMart deal that is out there. For more info on that, look at this thread:

Unhappy She wouldn't ring up the four boxes together.......

because the Eckerd's coupon says "one coupon per customer"...in other words, I couldn't use 2 Eckerd's coupons on the transaction. Even though I read earlier today of someone doing that exact thing!! So, I guess it depends, like always, on the cashier!

ugh

win1jam, read my post on the walgreen's thread on how I did my Colgate deal spending only a little over $2. I also posted another way to do it buying 2 Colgate Total 7.8oz with free toothbrush + 1 adult Massager toothbrush + 1 Suavitel fabric softener. You spend over $4. with tax on that deal. If you do the second one, make sure to ask for a rebate receipt and submit the original receipt to Easy Saver for rebate on the Suavitel and the rebate receipt goes to Colgate, it accepts rebate receipts. WG accepts using multiple cpns on the same product. I use (2) $1/1 cpn on the Colgate Total and also the other 2 products I bought.Just make sure you check out with the cosmetic/beauty advisors. I found the Colgate rebate easier to do compared to the Unilever rebate.

I also posted a way to do the Unilever rebate with everything explained there and where to get them. You may even find better deals since those are based on what I have here in AR. HTH.

Let's all help each other find good deals.
