I saw a reference to being an "independent contractor". If they are not taking taxes out of your paycheck, don't forget to put away about 30% of it for the tax man. You have to pay them employee's taxes as well as the ones normally paid by the employer. Granted, there are additional tax deductions you can take (business expenses for use of your home, for example). This is by far the worst thing about being self employed IMO. My DH is a contractor and is considered self employed (his employer does not withhold any taxes, he gets a 1099 at the end of the year, not a w-2). He also deals poker/blackjack for a casino company (for blow money) and they consider him an independent contractor as well. Well, he was paid $1600 last year for that and when we prepared our income taxes, $600 of that was due in federal income tax. Ouch. Of course, the money was loooonnnggg gone by the time April 15 of following year rolled around. Just something to think about.

I worked for them last year only during christmas and I worked the TMobile line. It was great, I got tons of hrs and my pay was pretty good. I wouldn't mind working them again this year for Christmas!! you can go to Work Place Like Home and they have a folder for them there and you will find out more info. Have fun!!

I too worked for them for a short period of time. You get to sign up for the hours you want to work as long as they are available (so first come first serve). If you are unable to work your hours you signed up for you can put them up for trade (within a certain timeframe of your start time) and as long as someone picks them up you are not responsible to work that timeframe. The same goes if you want to pick up extra hours you can find hours others are trading. I really can't remember the exact pay but I know it went according to your "talk time" and if you didn't make a certain amount within 1 hour you would receive a base pay. They also paid bounus pay for selling certain things or working certain hours. I quite because it was hard for me with having a young child. I found myself having to work early morning hours while she slept so there would be no noise in the background. Now I will say if you don't like hasseling people about ordering things then this may not be for you. When someone calls in to order something you will have scripts that prompts you to offer them extended warrenties, additional items, or magazine sales (passsport to fun). You are required to read every script verbatim unless the customer says they wish to hear no more offers.
