I'll get us going, after all I feel like we're all friends love this little forum. I am Sandee, live in Alabama, South Mobile
near Dauphin Island. My Dh and I am self employed, we have 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls, everyone is out of the nest except for my sweet 14 yr old dd. I work all the time....enjoy shopping, and boating. We repair and sell motorhomes, I am also a certified Wedding Consultant and Event Planner..that's my passion. I love happy brides, great events and spending other peoples money! Lol okay enough about me! Who's next

Hi I am Debbie live in Slidell LA. My DH is a retired E-9 from the Navy and is the IT Director for the City Court, We have 2 daughters and 1 grandson, My youngest daughter is due with her first baby 12/22. I am a merchandiser for several companies. Keep me busy when I want and slow when I want too.
We have a 5th wheel and a 2011 Harley ultra classic. We totally remodeled our home right after katrina, Have a built in pool. Hubby built a pergola for us by the pool. We also have an outside bar. All I can say is its a FUN back yard,

Hi! I'm Deneise & I live in Central Florida... Nowhere near the beaches! DH & I have 3 kids, a 26 yr old DD, 19 yr old DD & a 7 yr old son. Both daughters are grown & out of the house. We have 2 grandsons by my oldest DD, 7 & 2. (And yes, my oldest grand & my youngest kid are almost the same age! Yes my DD & I were preggers at the same time!) My Sister also lives with me.

DH & I are both working "at home" customer service. It totally saves us money on gas, lunches, day care & clothes! DH is ex-Army, Hispanic from New Jersey & the smartest man that I have actually ever met! I'm just a Georgia Peach, so the cultural differences keep us laughing a lot!

Hubby and I were married 18 days before she was born . I don't think you see a 9 month prego bride in a catholic church very often We live in Hollywood, FL just north of Miami if you're not familiar with the area. Hubby is an ophthalmic technician and a huge sports fan.

Especially Yankees & Marlins ... I mainly shop at Publix WD & CVS unless walgreens has some magic going on.

Wow, Sandee, y'all are busy people for sure like us, but I bet it's so much fun to do wedding planning! It's such a joyful time in a couple's life & it must be a blast to make all their dreams come true!

So nice to "officially" meet all of you & glad to be a part of this forum!

We live in Metairie, LA, only about 3 miles from the "17th Street Canal" levee breach during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Our homes here were flooded b/c the pumps were turned OFF before the officials evacuated ~ don't get me started on that! We evacuated on that fateful day before Katrina hit & I never saw my home again til Christmas of 2005!

Our only child (a daughter) was a senior in high school, so we evacuated & toured colleges along the way to NC, where we had planned to visit one school in particular that struck her fancy. We broke down in Atlanta & spent 5 nights in Norcross, GA, only to be ripped off by a local mechanic who supposedly "fixed" the car. As we cruised into Gastonia (a surburb of Charlotte), our car was running hot & making horrible noises, like it was going to explode! We stopped for the night & the next day a mechanic in Dallas, NC, heard of our plight & fixed our car for FREE! He hooked us up w/ a wonderful church in the area & these people took us in as one of their own & we lived in their parsonage for 1 & 1/2 years while our daughter completed senior year & went on to Appalachian State. I am still so thankful & grateful to these special people!

We are back in LA now as of last May & our daughter graduated w/ a computer science degree & a minor in math & anthropology from ASU. She is currently working in NOLA & has a 3 yr old son who is the light of our lives & we enjoy watching him learn & grow.

My hobbies are travelling, photography, shopping & couponing. I've been a couponer all my life! My mother taught me all about it & when I was 15; she challenged me w/ $20 bucks & let me drive the car to Schwegmann's to see what deals I came up with! It was awesome & I was hooked! If I won the lottery, I would still be frugal & use coupons!!! It's so much a part of me & who I am ~ !

Hey ya'll!! My name is Jessica and I am a mom of 2 teenagers, a full time nurse, have been married for almost 18 years, my hubby and I own a small business and both work full time, and ILOVE to save money on EVERYTHING!!! We stay pretty busy as a family- but we also spend alot of time together. We like camping, boating, gardening, all of our "critters" and pretty much just being outdoors. I am very "green" focused as well as being frugal- we try to reduce our footprint on the world as much as we can by recycling, not gettin new stuff if our old stuff is still usable, etc.

Hello All,
My name is Ellen and I live mid way between the Gulf of Mexico and Lake O here is SW FL. I have 1 daughter who is 34 and works at the Rat House aka Disney-2 step daughters who live in CT. I have 1 husband- 1 ex husband-2 boxer dogs-1 mean cat (who thinks he owns the place--if you ask the dogs they will tell you he does)- numerous cows- a small string of horses-chickens and ducks in the yard. We also run a citrus and veggie operation in partnership with others.
I own my own business and have since 1984. I own a trucking company..I know an odd career choice by I love it...My husband is retired from driving..But I still work at it full time.
Time away from work and critters will find me at the area car shows..We have a number of vintage and muscle cars we show on a reguler basis. Now that the hubby is home full time he tinkers with the cars and help out in the Hot Rod Shop my daughter and her BF have.
I love finding bargins and my coupons go every wheres with me..I hate to pay full price!!

My name is Sandy. I'm originally from Massachusetts but the last 8 years I amliving in Anniston, AL. Wound up in AL when my husband was transferred for his job. I have a 22 year old son who goes to JSU and is working on a double major of Forensic Sciences and Chemistry. I have been couponing for about 15 years, but it is so much harder here in AL. We only have a Winn Dixie and Walmart, a few small stores, but the deals are not so great. We will have a Publix the beginning of next year. I work part time at Kohl's and I love my discount and deals especially on the K-Cups for my Keurig. I am a 5 1/2 year breast cancer survivor. About 4 years ago I decided that I was still alive and it was my chance to give back. I use my coupons to do this. I set a weekly grocery budget and with this I get the best deals I can for my family and the rest goes to finding deals for the less fortunate. I donate about $5,000. a year to a local organization in my area. I try and focus on things that food stamps won't cover such as personal hygiene items, laundry items etc., but food items are never turned down.
Sandee, we made our first trip to Gulf Shores a few weeks ago. It is so beautiful there. I was amazed at how different it is from the beaches I grew up on up north. I went to Billy's Seafood and got a cooler full of seafood to bring home. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for all you do. I can't do my shopping until I read this forum.

It is hard in the South to get a great deal, not many choices and very few stores that double It is a pleasure to get to know everyone, so glad our Cajun friend got this started! In the summer I work a lot, our restaurant is busy and it's RV season all the way until about Christmas so 14+ hrs a day! The joys of being self employed! I am so glad you enjoyed the beach! I love this area, I am a water person, it's my zen, I can't imagine not having it in the backyard I want to thank everyone who post in the Winn Dixie Forum, this time of year, it's greatly appreciated!
