| What is a Winetag, you ask? A winetag is a coupon that is found hanging around the necks of wine bottles or could be tearpads located in the alcohol section. They are the same as regular manufacturer coupons with the exception that they mostly say DND (do not double). They will usually say NWPN (No Wine Purchase Necessary), however, there are some that you must buy wine also. They are for things that are usually not brand specific. They are good for things you normally won't find coupons for, for example, meat, bread, pasta, milk, etc. They can really make the difference when shopping. Many are not good in all states so when trading for winetags make sure they are good where you live. Last edited by CM_ANGEL; 10-11-2008 at 03:30 PM. |

FYI: Some states (such as NC) have laws prohibiting the requirement of an alcohol purchase in order to use a coupon so...if the coupon is valid in NC you would never be required to purchase the alcoholic beverage in order to use it.

I think in IL you are not required to purchase the alcohol either so when a store denies it what do you say?

Where do you find whether you state allows these? I've never seen any in any store's wine section--so maybe Texas doesn't allow it?
