| Costco "must-haves"?
What do you always buy at Costco. I stock up on All (the brand) laundry soap when it's in the coupon book. (I will be doing this next week.) I also buy a lot of meat. Vacuum seal it in smaller portions and deep freeze. So what do you buy? Sent from my iPhone using AFullCup

The only things we buy regularly are bottled water, dog food, Chobani greek yogurt, and meat. We usually shop more for the "seasonal items", or the non-food things that come and go that they don't necessarily have all the time. For example, last time we went I bought a set of oxo storage containers and the Rachel Ray olive oil and vinegar bottles. We also buy food for parties and cook outs like burgers, hot dogs, buns, chips, appetizers, dips, etc.

Kirkland bottled water. It's a 35 pack for $3.45. Vegetable oil, 5 quarts for $6.89. Skippy PB, 6lbs for $7.99. Flour, 20lbs for $7.69. I also love Kirkland brand baby wipes, $19.99 for 900 wipes. They are thin enough to easily wipes all the creases yet soft enough to be gentle on baby. I just think huggies are way to thick IMO. I used these and fell in love. Haven't tried anything else. Good to hear what other buy, great thread!

Kirkland Paper Towels (really better than anything you can buy in the grocery store - a bigger towel and stronger than leading brands...) and Everready Gold Batteries By the Case

Feta Cheese.. $8 for a big slap, Mozzarella cheese $4 for a big ball, Meat, fish, Agave nectar - $7 for two bottles, Olive oil- $9 for a liter . I also use their coupons and find some good deals at times. Right now they will have backpacks and lunchboxes pretty cheap with coupons from their booklets. Red Onions- $7 for a big bag. That is what I can think of from the top of my head.

We usually buy printer paper and Mobil 1 Oil (when they have the coupon out). Our Costco will also be refilling propane tanks for $13 beginning this week, so we'll be taking advantage of that too! We grill a lot during the summer and it usually costs $18 for a refill.

I get a lot of pet related items. I love the dog and cat food. They have a grain free dog food called Nature's Domain that's awesome, healthy for the dogs and much cheaper than the pet stores. I just got some Frontline for the dogs for $37 which is much cheaper than the vet and even petmeds. I've gotten some great salmon jerky for dogs. It was $8 for a huge bag and I later saw that a tiny bag was the same price at petsmart. I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, I love Costco. :-) Sent from my iPhone using AFullCup :-) |

I have purchased from vitamin shoppe liquid cherry juice concentrate and she refuses to take it. She would rather be in pain and the doctors give her drugs which she takes when the pain is unbelievable I am a cook, and never thought of using the tomato paste as a base for excellent sauce. Any recipes or ideas would be always appreciated. I am trying started at breakfast the President Clinton way of life eating. Watched CNN in the wee morning and he was explaining his diet and the doctors explained how NOT to get stints. As a coupon lover - pasta, veggies, rice and beans His way of life is no meat or fish, no milk, dairy,....in other words, if it has a face, do not eat.........I would love to start a thread on this way of eating...where would I post....it is taking control of our health without pharmacuticals...

1.)Forgot about the 3# Bag of Kirkland Tortilla Chips for $3.17 2.) Rotisserie Chicken at $4.99/3lb or$1.66/lb COOKED-a plus in the Summer, and the BEST Chicken Stock ever. 3.) Milk-2 Gallons pk @ $4.20 or $2.10/Gal 4.) Non-Stick Fry Pans for $23.00/3pk-8", 10", 12" size, thicker and better than Farberware by far. Buy every 3-6 months when they start to scratch, that lining is toxic. Pricey to change-yes, but health+convienience usually is. Quit Buying: Dawn Blue Dishsoap 90oz, even with $2/1 Costco Mailer Q, = $0.08 per oz. It is thinner and less foamy/effective than the small 10oz Dawn at Wags.---Reg price Blue Dawn at Wags=$1.99/10oz. With Wags in-Ad Q for $0.99-$0.50 MQ=$0.49 every 3 weeks on a sales cycle. Wags=$0.05oz VS Costco Dawn=$0.08. Last edited by nowpoints; 08-31-2011 at 06:35 AM. |

| jollygreen-as a cook, you liked the idea of my making Pasta Sauce from #10 Can of Tomato Paste from Costco, thanks ![]() 1.) #10 Can of Diced Tomatoes for $2.85 purchased along with the #10 can of Tomato Paste for Sauce for $3.65 S&W Brands. Then slightly pulse 1-2x the Diced Tomatoes in a Food Processor to add body to the watered down Tomato Paste. It gives the "RAGU" consistancy my DH likes. Italian Seasonings + 2 T Butter per pot or 6qts Sauce. Cheaper in time/money than trying to find stock on Ragu when it is/was $0.50/jar here. Best price with Q's has been $0.99 here lately. FREEZER: Need tons of room in the Freezer to put in Gallon Zip-Locks, lay flat on a cookie sheet until they are Frozen, then they stack great flat in the Freezer Last edited by nowpoints; 08-31-2011 at 09:01 AM. |

I used to buy the Kirkland bagged coffee brewed by Starbucks for 9.99 b/c the bag is HUGE and I used to drink a lot more coffee than I do now. I recently got some great deals on smaller bagged coffee (Target and Publix) so that's what I'm living off now but 9.99 for a big bag of whole bean coffee brewed by Starbucks works for me ![]() DH just brought us home a rotisserie chicken and some rosemary bread last night for his bday MMMMMM. LOVE it!
