Recycle your #5 plastics at Whole Foods!

Hi everyone! If any of you don't have curbside recycling, or if you do but they do not take #5 plastics, take them to Whole Foods to recycle! Our curbside recycling only takes #1 & #2 plastic bottles, so when I saw the bin at WF for the #5 plastics I was happy to finally have a place to take butter tubs, lids, yogurt cups, and other things. Organic Valley and Stonyfield have placed these bins in Whole Foods markets for people to recycle. Check to see if yours has one!

Our curbside recycling used to include styrofoam (takeout, etc), but now it doesn't. Any thoughts on what to do with those?

If you visit earth911.com, type in your zip code and the type of product you want to recycle (i.e. #6 polystyrene) and it will give you a list of locations that accept it near you.

What an awesome site buckeyemom! I found a place only 12 miles from me that takes all plastics 1-7! Our curbsite only takes 1's and 2's.
