I am trying to organize or attempt to use the lower grocery prices in the US. But I live in Canada. So I need someone willing to help me learn the couponing process, help me to somehow get the coupons (need them sent to me), help me to identify the real deals, and preferrably someone in Washington.

My hubby will go to the store one evening a week, adn buy what is on the list with coupons. So I need this basic, simple and easy to explain. I want the best bang for my buck because we will only have $50 to spend each week due to restrictions.

I love this site, I am learning everyday.. Trying to translate what I am learning into Canada, but let me tell you, the deals you get are far better.

If anyone is interested in teaching me, working with me, helping me.. Please pm me and we shall see what we can do.

Welcome! I am not in Washington, but I just know there will be someone on here that can help! What stores will your DH be shoping at? This might help as they may not be just regional....(Think Walmart, Target, Dollar General.)

Cost Cutter
Safeway
Food Pavillion
Albertsons
Fred Meyer
Haagen Foods
Walgreens
Rite Aide.


Not sure where he will be shopping.. Going to make most stuff dry goods or staples. And then he will be price checking for comparisons. If milk is substantially less (50c or more per gallon) we will also stock up on that.

Basically we will be looking at canned goods, pasta, tp, paper towel, baking supplies. Stuff you can keep in reserve. Then we will buy our fresh vegetables and fruit, and frozen items up here.

I think this will reduce both groceries and gas, since your gas prices are about 20 to 30 cents less a litre... So about almost $1.00 less a gallon. So he can recharge the car while we get cheaper groceries. Yes we will use some gas up, but minimal since we live so close to the border anyways.

the easiest way i learned to get around and be able to navagate is: when i log in i check the box below log in to "remember me" then, hit the button log in. When i get to the home page i then go to NEW POSTS and once that opens, I BOOKMARK that page. (right click on a blank area on that page and choose create shortcut) that will place an ICON on your desktop and so you will only have to click on that ICON to get into AFC You may get this message once you get there "vBulletin Message

Just click on the words NEW POSTS on the top row of page..it will let you in to AFC then You will see on the far right hand colum the word Forum...under that is titles of areas to visit....if you click on any of them in that colum it will bring you just to that specific topic...like say you click on WELCOME MAT and it will bring you too ALL the new people who joined thread!
