this is a GREAT site to learn everything about saving with coupons. I have always used coupons but not to the extent that I do know. And thanks to everyone working as an extended family we know about so many more deals that we would on our own. For an idea of my savings today, SuperFresh with triple coupons I saved 71% (my bill was $7.27 versus before coupon total of $25.16) and at ShopRite I saved 63.8% ($22.68 versus $62.70). It is easy with AFC! Tell us what stores you shop at and check out their forums. Are you lucky enough to have a CVS? Laney |

| I would tell you to keep collecting coupons from any and all sources (without spending a lot of money on them) and keep them organized so you're ready when a good deal hits then I would tell you to rethink how you do your purchasing...buy what is at the lowest price with a coupon and buy as many as you need for 3,6 months or a year if it's free..so instead of what is usually the norm of planning a menu and then creating a shopping list..make a list of what's on sale (that you use..like don't max out on fiber pills if you don't normally purchase them)..and create meals around what is on sale, what is in your stockpile... so on a normal week I check out my best grocery store for deals (kroger) as it double coupons and with that it becomes lower than walmart/costco/etc...and stock up on what is the lowest I've seen in a while..then I fill in with fresh veggies/fruit/unusual sauces from asian markets, produce stands...I pick up marked down breads from a bread outlet (google bakery outlet + your town)..and then a once a month trip to costco for my favorite frozen berries or things I can't find elsewhere and of course, I pick up all the freebies/rebates/gift cards from rite aid, walgreens, cvs, target..with CVS you can earn ECB if you purchase what gives you them (many are free with coupons/ECB)..save those and use to buy the next week's sales and if you are careful you can rotate lots of items from health, beauty, grocery, drugs, household items with the same ECB rite aid/walgreens have nice rebates..but don't just buy them at random times..either grocerygame or couponmom will have lists of when they are on sale/with coupon/rebates..I stock up on things BEFORE I need them so I never have to run out and grab last minute panic items... Get to know your grocery's managers..I know my meat man/produce guy/dairy guy at Kroger..I know about when they mark things down..so I pick up salad mixes, vegetarian items, packaged snow peas, dairy items, meats, for super cheap..and some have coupons along with them..so I've picked up bags of $5 pound sugar peas for a quarter a package..diet lean burger for 99 cents a pound, etc...when I find those I buy up as much as I can..maybe 40#s of meat..and then come home and patty some, mix some for meatloaf (freeze raw then you just thaw and bake as needed), make meatballs, cook up for spaghetti, taco meat, however you eat..and freeze up.... then I do the same when I find anything else at the lowest price...then my pantry/freezers are always stocked with tons of options AND...we don't insist on XYZ item..if we're out of something we make do and use something else..we aren't brand loyal..whoever is cheapest (still of healthy quality)..is our latest shelf item... |

| Welcome to "AFULLCUP", everyone here is out to help everyone else. Have Questions , just ask. A answer will soon follow. Coupon trains are a fun way to get extra coupons and to meet new friends. My daughter has taught me what I know about coupons. She the queen of coupons. Did ya know that you can use a Target coupon and a manufacturer's coupon on the same item? You can also use many of your coupons on the trial sizes if the coupon says any size or does not state a size on it. I just love it when I find something on clearence and I have a good coupon to use as well. Example: Vibe mens shampoo, reg sells for $5.69 here. I found several bottles on the clearence isle at K-Mart for $1.12. I had a coupon for $!.00 off, I got the bottles for .12 each. Wheather it's K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Target I always look in on the clearence isles first, then I look for my other coupon items that I found in the fylers. Happy shopping......... |
