Hi, im a new bee mom to a special needs son. My fiance just lost his job and were on a stricked budget now. I have tried couponing b4 and seemed to spend more unnecessarily in the long run :/ please help

Hello there! Welcome to Afullcup! I can say when i was new, the easiest thing would be go to the forum at the stores you shop at the most.. IE, Kroger, Walmart, Etc. (here on AFC!)

Im about to host a coupon class, but i'm in texas. I can say start by buying 2-3 newspapers each sunday. That gives you 2-3 inserts each week and you're sure to utilize those coupons!

Secret to saving the most is stockpiling the items you WILL USE so when they're not on sale, you don't have to buy them! (i haven't purchased shampoo in almost 2 years! I know there is a "shelf life" on shampoo, but my hair hasn't fallen out yet,LOL)

Be sure to check out all the great rebates people share here also. Sometimes you can find offers for things you already buy, then all you have to do is follow the directions on the forms, invest a stamp in mailing them off, and wait for your money to come rolling back to you.

Im expecting a baby in a few weeks and I'm also trying to get into this whole couponing thing....I have some information that might be helpful to you...Im planning on going to the classes especially because they are FREE.... I got this information on line...I'm not sure where in CT your located but I hope this helps...if not try to google CT couponing classes....thats what I did...good luck....




COUPONING CLASS IN CT WITH GINA


May 31st – 6 PM – Beacon Falls Library – Beacon Falls, CT 203-729-1441
June 6th – 6:00 PM – Prosser Public Library -Bloomfield, CT 860-769-3558
July 16th – 6 PM – Wilson Branch Library – Windsor, CT 860-285-1931 (1.5 hours)

Classes held at libraries are free because the libraries pay my fee and do not pass the cost on to participants. Classes at other venues are priced according to the venue’s discretion

Participants need to have a basic understanding of computers and the Internet to fully benefit from this class.
Objectives- Participants will be able to:
1. cut their grocery bill by at least half (within two months of taking this class)
2. use couponing vocabulary
3. read a blog list of grocery and drug store deals
4. create an effective shopping list
5. understand stockpiling
6. effectively organize coupons
7. use coupons to obtain items for free
