Here’s some advice for your couponing journey…

** READ READ READ READ READ READ READ!! And then READ some more! Learn your local store’s coupon policies - GROCERY STORE FORUMS. Print those policies out and keep them with you at all time! You’ll be surprised at how often cashiers and even store managers are unfamiliar with all the intricacies of their own policies!

** Don’t be afraid to ask questions - COUPONING 101!

** START SLOWLY! If you jump in too fast, you’ll get frustrated. PLEASE don’t think that if you don’t build a massive stockpile overnight, that you are a rotten couponer! It takes time and effort! BUT, if you'd like to peek at what your stockpile COULD look like one day, check THESE out!

** Not sure how to begin? Do a David Letterman… Make two TOP TEN LISTS! One for food and one for non-food items that you and your family use on a daily or weekly basis. If your family is a HUGE pasta eater, then noodles and sauce should be on your list. If you have 4 teenage boys, then body wash/soap is a MUST! Walk through your house as you are making your lists. Then, go to the grocery/drug stores WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING! Take along a pad of paper (or 6) and make notes on current prices for those items on your Top Ten lists. Do this once a week for a few months. Start learning the sales cycles. Start learning the fluctuations in prices and soon you will be able to figure out what your stock-up prices should be. Start your stockpile with items your family will use regularly. Nothing worse than staring at a stockpile with a whole bunch of stuff (gotten for free or really cheap) that no one will EVER use!

** Start clipping your coupons! Sign up for a newspaper delivery – this is THE only way to guarantee that you will receive coupons in the papers you buy. Not all newsstand or drug store papers receive inserts as the inserts will always be placed in subscriber papers first. CALL the newspaper first and make sure of which coupon inserts they carry! Ask about special subscriptions – Sunday or weekend only, discounts for multiple Sunday papers, etc. Start asking your friends and family members for their coupons. You’ll be surprised at how many people just toss them in the garbage – YIKES! **Need complete sets of inserts? No problem! Click COMPLETE INSERTS for LOTS of choices!

Me i collect any qs i think might come in handy. Many times at rite aid i get mm on items i dont use but others will then use the overage and ups to get things i will use of course with more ups and qs. And last month at ra i have over $20.00 in rebates comming back.

Grocery stores just add a few extras you use when on sale and qs to add to your stockpile. I try to get enough at least until the next sale cycle so i never pay full price.
stock up with sales qs and catalina deals then roll it over into more deals.
I get almost all my meats and produce marked down my store marks down alot of meats from yesterday face it its in your fridge or freezer a few days anyway. Plus most beef is better aged a few days. Take advantage of the freebies & cheapies.

Today
4 rolls sausage free with qs.
manns mixed veggies .55 with qs.
28 pk glad forceflex trash bags clearanced .75 q doubled and $1.00 catalina=$1.24
4 nestles cocoa free with qs
2 lg bundles cottonelle + 2- 6 big rolls viva=$29.46 after card and qs and got a $10.00 oyno catalina.
Used $1.00 q on bogo breads 2 for $1.99
I normally save at least 50% shopping this way.
And i always check the clearance section today was trash bags last week scotchbrite copper pot scrubbers .25 after qs so i got 8 i wont need them for a year or more.
Dawn is always free at cvs .99 and $1.00 off qs
cascade free the last 4 months i get trial size at walmart $1.00 use $1.00 off qs
get 12 each trip splitting the order.
Stack all the qs i can Next trip i have tops bonus qs for laundry detergent and $1.00 off catalinas on any brand have sunlight dish soap qs and tops catalinas.
Always buy cereals when on sale and free gallon of milk catalinas stock up time.
Then use the facebook nabisco qs for free small pkg cookies. pick kelloggs kinds with either upc mail in $10.00 gift card or cars 2 codes for $5.00 gift cards and a few months ago some had peelies for free marshmallows and some for free bags of m n ms
I got back so far over $100.00 in kelloggs gift cards.
Right now cvs gift card deals are working out great. After the first week i just keep useing qs and rolling over GC on items for more GCs

It just takes matching up planning your trips and haveing lots of qs.
