 Hello from South Carolina
Hello all, I am new to the group, but not new to making a dollar stretch with Couponing.
I am a 37 y.o. disabled mom to Sami(9 going on 29) and Wife to Rob. Married 13 yrs.
We live in a small town between Greenville SC/Georgia state line. I love living the simple country life, knowing my neighbors and never being able to go some where without running into someone you know.
I became disabled at the birth of Sami, due to a c-section gone terribly wrong, still almost 10 years later have and open abdominal wound. I have been to all type of medical specialist all over the country, yet, here I am. I truely believe in, there is a reason for everything in life and that being said.
I believe this was to make me slow down in life before I totally burned myself out. Prior to 1997, I was a plus size model for the likes of Bon Marche, Lane Bryant and a few others, I did their print ads. I was also worked behind the scenes in Nashville to help some of the biggest country stars, where they are today.
I loved my life back then but I love it even more now. I actually get to be a part of my marriage and there is nothing better than to hear your child say...Mom, you are so cool,your the best and by the way, I love you.
When I had to end my career, our income took a hit really bad, cause my hubby was in the USMC and as you know, our country is not out to make our military personnel wealthy by no means.
now a days, hubby is the one out working 60-70 hours a week and I am the one, running around with my coupons in hand trying to be his partner in the game of : Stretch the dollar.
I manage to help us save about 10-15 thousand a year, so that along with my disability check, I am making pretty decent ,money.
I am a talker, I enjoy getting to know people from all over.
In my 37 years, I have lived in my home state of NC to all the way out to Seattle. I guess you could say, I am a gypsy at heart.
