Yeah, there doesn't seem to be as many deals with coupon match-ups at Wegmans compared to other stores. I've stocked up on Cottonelle t.p. lately, though. 4.99 "sale" then $1 coupons that have been available. I've also gotten some regular Crest toothpaste for free after a $1 coupon, and was able to donate a lot of them. Grapes and potatoes were a great price this week. The couponing isn't great, but I do still love Wegmans for their produce and customer service and my daughter LOVES the little carts and the free cookies or apples!

I shop at Wegmans all the time and can usually save around 35 to 40% off my groceries with coupons and sales. Yesterday I saved big on Poptarts, Tyson products, Pepsi, Whiskas Temptations cat treats, Snyders pretzels, Crystal Light, Skintimate shave gel, etc. You just have to use the shopping list feature on the Wegmans site to see/find the deals to match with current coupons. Just because they don't advertise all their specials doesn't mean they don't exist. I love the atmosphere at Wegmans and that they double my coupons up to $.99!

Good to hear of your deals. We should post them for eachother more often. I haven't used the Wegmans site much, but maybe I will check it out. I wish they still took the Tops coupons, especially with the dollar doublers this week!

I was all excited about the toothbrushes, until I went to find my coupon...My coupon is just for $1, not $2. That seems to happen all the time in our area (Rochester). I also noticed that our Kraft bbq sauce was $1 on 2 but others had .75 on 1!!! I have coupon envy.

I have a choice of 3 major food chains to shop from, ( Wegmans, P&C , and Price Chopper) plus Aldis and Wal Mart Supercenter. I can't use coupons at Aldis and out of the rest of the stores I'd say I use the fewest coupons at Wegmans. There are various reasons for this. First Wegmans has fewer "sales", they also tout more of their store brands and less national brands than the others. They also use their Shopper's Club discounts in place of some other discounts. Many times my Shopper's Club discounts are more than my coupon savings. When they do offer something "on sale" and I have a coupon, I stock up. Recent good deals included Pop Tarts, Eggo brand products, Kellogs cereals, canned cat food to name a few. Wegmans emphasizes other parts of their store more than their sales such as their produce, in store bakery, meal prep, and other areas. That is what separates them from the competition and has a loyal following. A recent survey in my area stated people go their for the ambiance and general experience over their savings. Like I said previously, they have good prices, but they tend to be on their own brands over the national brands. EDIT: I did see some deals in our local ad this week. Check your local ad to see if they are the same as Wegmans has different versions of their sales flyers for different regions/states. Pop tarts are 2/$3 . There are either .50 or .55 cent coupons off one ( site I just bought some from sold out so I can't confirm value of coupon, sorry)That brings the cost down to 2/$1 or 2/.80 depending on coupon value. Kraft Bagelicious $1.99, there are coupons out there for .55 cents off one. These coupons state DND (do not double, so it's up to the individual store to see if they will. ) Kelloggs cereals 2/$4. There are $1/1 for certain ones such as Frosted Flake, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies, bringing the final price to 2/$2. That is all I could find at the moment . |

My area sucks for coupons too! I order or trade for them thankfully and sell the ones we get!

| Free stuff for kids? Free cookies or apples? Can you explain this to me? A Wegmans JUST opened up in my area in the last week or two so I'm still learning the ropes there.

| In the bakery section, you should find a bin of cookies marked "Wegmans cookie club". If you have a child 8 or younger, they can have a free cookie to enjoy while you shop. My Wegmans started having a "healthy" option earlier this year, so they have a second bin with small apples as an alternative to the cookies. Many of the stores also have tiny little kid carts, which I let my daughter use when we go in for just a few items. They also have a Wkids (free babysitting) in my store, but my daughter prefers to shop with me so we don't use it.

Thank you that's really good to know. So far I've only gone to Wegmans a couple of times. The only things that seem to be a better deal than what my local Bloom has are the Organic Milk and certain produce items. This is a nice treat to keep my little guy content when I run in for a few items. Thanks for sharing the info!

I drop the kids off at the wkids club!! They love it. We had to go on the little one's bday so she could finally go it. They get a snack when they leave. I usually just get produce from there. That's when I can't get to the farmer's market.
