We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:* Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO) Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price. Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad. For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)

I think that line means for grocery store "reward" type cards. RRs, ECB, etc... are different because you are actually paying xx.xx and getting yy.yy in a coupon so it is "like" paying zz.zz but you are still technically paying xx.xx. i know there are some stores that do pricematch the zz.zz price. i see it the same as buying an item and getting a gift card back, which walmart will not match, per their policy. the reason the stores are able to do the RRs and ECBs etc.. are because probably half of the people never redeem their coupons. •Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card ◦example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card |

In their policy it says they will not match after ECBs, RRs, UPs, but it's a YMMV situation

At the Walmarts I've gone to, if the ad says (ex.) $2.49-$2 ECB= it's like getting it for .49, WM can match the .49. But, if it leaves out the "it's like getting it for..." line, they will only give you the price listed (2.49). Hope that makes sense. I don't know if they're doing it correctly, but that's what the managers explained to me and that's what all of the cashiers do.

Actually, IMO, the answer to the question is in the Coupon Policy, not the ad match policy. Since RR's, ECB's are actually coupons that you receive AFTER making a purchase, and can only be used at the store where they were printed, then the following rules should apply. HTH Walmartstores.com: Walmart Coupon Policy We DO NOT accept the following coupons: Checkout coupons Dollars/cents off the entire basket purchase Percentage off the entire basket purchase Print-at-home Internet coupons that require no purchase Competitors' coupons Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer Percentage off Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price Double- or triple-value coupons

Just to add, could you possibly price match an ad from a store not near you out of state even? Ex: Kroger/Safeway? I'm in NY, so there isn't one. Thanks

| The radius that your store will Price Match is up to the individual store manager. Generally it is limited to stores that are prevalent in your area. However, you would need to ask at your own store to find out what they are willing to do.

it was mentioned in another thread about competitors coupons used in ad match like Target web/inserts coupons which do not specify sizes so their $2/2 on deodorant coupons are used on trial size deo that WM will match @ 0.00? How different is this from WAG price of 3.99 get back 3RR, "like" getting it for .99 and they match the .99 BUT many say they will NOT match if it says like getting it free? so how is it different using TWQs that match the sale price of WM items to enter them as 0.00? I haven't seen any WM do this but can any CSM/AM please clarify this issue on why this TWQ matching for free is allowed but not the FARR items from WAG? I don't think it is a fair ad match because TWQs have no remit address that WM can submit to and therefore, aren't they literally giving away their merchandise?

I ask because if it written clearly, it shouldn't be YMMV and many can now avail of this instead of accepting this blanket YMMV. It is like the overage/cash back from years ago when it wasn't written as official and was a YMMV but when it became official, almost all stores, regardless whether they like to follow or not. were forced to follow it because the customer has something in writing to show them.

The walmart in my area has a sign at each register stating they DO take competitor coupons. I have used many with no problem
