Sooner or later, we may probably see coupons coming out with large bold fonts on BOGO saying THIS COUPON IS GOOD FOR 2 ITEMS YOU ARE BUYING. YOU CANNOT USE ANOTHER COUPON WITH THIS.

but of course, we've seen how the limit 4 identical coupons per shopping trip or limit 2 identical coupons per shopping trip has been disregarded by both customers and stores,

this proves words/terms alone, does not mean people will follow. as stated above, people will do as they please.

Coupons may beep but as long as there are cashiers/stores willing to override that beep, they will all go through regardless of correct/incorrect usage.

At Walmart, the register beeps when I tried to use an MQ on the one that I"m buying along with a BOGO coupon. Yes, the new BOGO coupons attach to both items.
I can only use both MQ's at CVS or Rite Aid. Every other store beeps.

I have had some qs that specifically said not to be combined with other qs but if it is not written on there how are we to know? I only know what they communicate to me. Since as we've been told beeping means nothing, even the cashier can't know...

You can pontificate all you want but that's how most people will view/handle it.

All the wording changes on coupons does it to me Feel like I need to take a course in Coupon Writing 101. I've just gotten to the point where I read the coupons before I use them.

I don't remember coupons being so strict when I worked retail, but then again we didn't have a show about coupons either.

I was just thinking about how some people may think we are strange when they see us with our binder of coupons, can't imagine what they would say after reading this post....
