Just think.....if Wal MArt let you price match anything for what ever price you stated. Now Wal MArt is letting you price match everything for .01. We all jump on board and get tons and tons of stuff. Now, because WaL mart let us price match for a .01, all the other stores have had to close down. Then WaL Mart raises it's prices and there's nothing we can do

While I agree that there should be competition in the marketplace, I don't believe that Walmart is the only store out there that in it's secret heart of hearts, wants to corner the market and be the only store you shop. Walmart may be a little more open about that desire, but every corporation that I have ever worked for has had a basic agenda to be the only place their customers shop for whatever product they sold.

EVERYONE and EVERY store wishes they had the market cornered. If they say they don't then they are lying. Grocery stores are not in the market to be a SERVICE to you, they are in the market to MAKE MONEY. Wal Mart has just been SMART enough to do it!!

Walmart leaves it up to the managers decison on what is a local trading area. The manager at your store considers that to mean 50 miles. Maybe remeasure the distance. Or go on mapquest and put in the Walmart address and the Kroger address. This will give ya driving distance NOT as the crow flies. You are so close maybe starting to ending point may make difference.

Each manager defines "local" at my store "local" is only if it is within our town. Our store also stopped PMing Aldi's. yes it is very frustrating, but we have to remember they could take away PMing all together. There are a lot of people misusing and flat out abusing the PM policy and they are ruining it for everyone. I have personally seen people come through with carts full of produce they are PMing to Aldi's and that is all the are buying. the quality and size of the produce at walmart and that of aldi's are two different things.
