Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to special order at Wal-mart. I've never done it before. How long does it normally take to get the items and has anyone had any problems?

Thanks i'd like to know this as well since there is an item I'd like to get on a regular basis that isn't available online to order but is carried in the stores. But it's hit or miss if it's in stock or not.

That is called a Rain Check, and just go to your Customer Service desk and ask about it. It's extremely YMMV, but totally worth a shot

are you ordering a bulk order or a special order, ie..is it something they normally carry? if its a bulk order as in, if you want alot of one item that they carry, go to the dept mgr for that dept.
if its a special order, as in something they dont carry, ask the store manager, you can just call but he/she mayb more apt to do it if they meet you ad can gain a trust that you will pick it up and they wont be stuck with an itm that they dont normally carry

Thank you so much for the information. Does anyone happen to know how long it takes to get bulk orders in? The grocery store I order at comes in 5-7days. I just don't want my qs to expire before something comes in.

As long as the warehouse isn't out, they should be able to get it within a few days. They get a truck everyday from the warehouse. Like PP said, talk to the dept. manager for that given dept. they genreally work 7-4 M-F
