My Walmart has has never given me any problems when price matching the "dollar" stores or any other store. I PM Save-A-Lot & Dollar General quite often. They never even ask for the ads.

However, I think that Corporate leaves the decision on which stores they will & won't PM up to the local store Managers. S/he is the one on hand to know who is the competition in the area, so it's a judgement call for that person.

This is definitely a YMMV area.

Wm has price matched big lots before for me I didn't even have the ad just my phone w/the emailed weekly ad ! It's hit and miss though with Walmart as we all know

my WM doesn't have many coupon-friendly cashiers so i've yet to try to PM. Every time I go to WM I have to chck my receipt and most times, go to csm and complain. I've left their 2x witought checking and noticed that like 8 coupons didnt come off (the one day i wasnt paying attention). So, I rarely go to WM. it's not worth the hassle.

Not true. Big lots has an advertisement and is match able. Just gotta have an ad.

There should have been a problem. The deo in the ad is for 2.0 oz and 1.4 oz. The coupon in the newspaper excludes those sizes.

Wow i really cringe at the idea of going into walmart to pm any more...yet i am going to have to in order to get this wisk deal ( all the dollar gen around us are sold out of the wisk) i just don't think wm is a coupon friendly place.

I went to dollar gen today (3 of them) to find the wisk ...no luck but they did have their little coupon books with 50cents of wisk in them...i wonder how freindly walmart would be if i used both the $2 q and the 50 cent q?

Wal-Mart has a local competitors list at each register. I recently price matched glade warmer for $1 to DG and used the $1.50/1 q that expired 3/24.

Dollar gen had wisk for $4 there was a $2 printable ...i think the size they had DG was 45 oz not sure ...but DG ran out of the Wisk...and of course walmart gave me a hard time ..so i went to CVS and got the wisk for $2.99...

My DG had the Wisk at $4 but the entire time it was out of stock. Now that they have some it's priced at $5. I got a couple with the $2 Q's and some Pampers, wipes with a $10/25 this past Saturday.

That makes me wonder if DG does rain checks. I'll have to ask.
