its most likely clearance. If these are the non-swirly light bulbs, I believe stores have til the end of the month to sell them. Stores won't be allowed ot sell them anymore. I heard this a couple months ago.

I called a few Walmarts. A couple they were ringing up for 8.47 and a couple 13.47. And then this one for .47 and they had 315 in stock

I hate to be a "Debbie downer" but the reason these aren't being sold anymore is because they are a fire hazard.
I know someone who used them in a barn and the light bulb sparked and the wood caught on fire. The barn burned and all of the horses died.
I would spend a few dollars more on lightbulbs for the peace of mind.

Not to doubt your post, but if they was a defective product which was causing fires, if would not be on the shelves.

I called the store on Platte in Colorado Springs, CO, and they have them at $2.47.

I have done more research. It's a discount offered by ameren and they are by regular bulbs

The ones that caught fire were the GE energy efficient swirly light bulbs. It was confirmed by the fire department that they were the cause of the fire. No urban legend but it's just a warning. If you feel safe then use them

Somebody is getting rich if this is true. The bulbs on. Learn e are not GE. I bought 12 packs of six. They were .97 each. I am in the business of making buildings more energy efficient and I have not heard of defective bulbs. That does not mean it isn't true though.

We've always used these for years with no issues. If they're cheap in my store, we'll be stocking up for sure.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BREAK A CFL BULB.. There are all kinds of HazMat rules to follow if ya do break one. They are full of all kinds of nasty stuff, worse then regular flourescent bulbs. You are not allowed to put in a regular trash can even. Must be recycled at special recycling bins.

I just stocked up on these at my WM, funny thing is, the single bulb pack was over $2, yet the 3 pack was like .59. I found 40, 60 watt and the 100 watt but they were 2 something for 3, still not a bad deal. I would post a picture, but I am not sure how to.
