I've been price matching at walmart for a few weeks now. I love it!! But anyways I had a few questions..

I saw how people were price matching store brand milk for walmart milk..which I actually tried and it worked.. but this week will be even a better deal on milk 1.68! loving it.. but now the store ad i'm matching says limit 2.. will walmart limit 2 too?

My next question is.. Kroger has kroger ibuprofen 24ct for 10/10.. I believe walmart has ibuprofen (can anyone verify this) also could I price match it with theirs? If so man I'm going to stock up

I'm not 100%, but I believe it's only produce and milk that they will match without much regard to brand, as long as it's apples for apples (e.g. lb for lb, unit for unit, etc.)
And I don't believe that wal mart carries it's own brand of medicines - Wal Mart brand is Great Value right? I'm sure you'd find Equate brand, but I don't think thats the wal-mart brand. Anyone have any input on this? I'd like to know too what Wal Mart will match with store brand and what exactly store brand is! (Hope I didn't confuse you more! )

The new price match policy actually states they will no long match store brand to store brand.

We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:

•Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
◦example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C"
•Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
◦example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"
•Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card
◦example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card
•Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
•Going out of business or closeout prices
•Percentage off
◦example: "All mascara, 40% off"
•Competitors' private label price promotions

The 24 ct. Equate ibuprofen (WM brand) is 98 cents a bottle, that is their everyday price.

If you are matching an ad and it has a limit on it, they will limit you to what the store ad says. My mom and I tried the Purex last week trying to match it to the fred meyer ad (limit 2). They would only allow each of us to buy 2 each.

ok another question.. what about the sales at kroger where you have to buy 10 to get that price (they take 0.50 off each item) can I match that price?

I have been. One time I did have 10 but the 2nd time I didn't.

thank you I didn'trealize they will price match produce a well..i don't like walmart as it can be soooo crowded and never never enough registers opened in super walmart in N.H....but, no sales tax so i guess i'll give them another try...thanks again AFCers fo all your time you give!!!

While in WalMart, an employee told me their new policy for price matching allows BOGO with NO price listed. For example, if Walgreens has Nivea body wash BOGO and no price is listed in the Walgreens ad, WalMart will use WalMart's price for the Nivea body wash (let's say $3). The cashier would ring up the first body wash for $2.99 and the second body wash for $0.01.

( I had planned on trying for the razors and clean and clear but I wasn't brave enough) so I price matched All that was BOGO at Winn-Dixie and they charged me 3.96 and .01! Winn-Dixie price was 5.99 and I used $1.50 off coupons and a hangtag for $2.00 off your purchase of Clorox 2 and I found a small bottle of that for $1.96!!! SCORE!!! The cashier said that they price match the sale! And give their price for BOGO bummed I only picked up 4 bottles!!!

I'm new to this, but wanna make sure I'm doing it right. Can I use more than one coupon on an item, if it's two different coupons for the same item? (Like I have 2 mr. clean Q- 1.50/1 twin pack, and .50/1 any mr. clean product. Could I combine them to buy a twin pack of mr. clean magic erasers?)

As in the past each store can STILL set their own rules. My main Wal Mart still lets us pm any and all generic and store brands to theirs and all over the US to boot. A WAL mart within 20 miles of me no longer will pm generic store brands and I have yet to visit them to see what their mileage limits are for price matching.

Well I am new to this and I am confused. I don't think you could use both coupons on one item.
Maybe I wasn't clear with what I did. I bought both all and Clorox 2 so I had two items and two coupons, maybe I didn't do it right either? I am confused now!

Lol I'm glad I'm not the only one! After looking at a computer screen til my eyes crossed, I'm fairly certain now that we can use only one manufacturer's coupon per item. If the store has a store coupon, only then can you apply 2 coupons to one item (manufacturer + store)... What confused me so much was the wording on the coupons ("not more than 4 like coupons"). I didn't know that "like" really means the same coupon, I thought it meant diff coupons for same product. I guess it's the manufacturer's way of making sure the savings-wealth is shared by all consumers... On a positive note, after having to replan my entire trip (after I learned not to use 2q on 1!), I still saved 40%! woohoo!
